I have waited over 8 hours for the circular loading screen to get me into the game but no to success. The update took less than a minute to download/install which i think should have took more than time than that. This needs to be fixed now. |

I've deleted and re-installed the game and nothing happens, i restart the game countless times and the same thing happens again. |

its not closed till 11 am of this sunday (today)
as for your problem.
1. try to setup your network connection with a static address
2. you aren't the only one with this problem, since it's a closed Beta our friends hosting the server are in all likelyhood using a very small one, so if your internet isn't up to gamer par. Well, then you will have lots of difficulty trying to get to the character screen.
3. its the first week of the beta, Week 2 supposedly starts this thursday (July 5th), our friends at Dust 514 are adding lots of new hotfixes all of which includes faster and more reliable internet connections.
Don't sweat so much man, only 5000 or so people got access to this game.
and last but not least . remember that it is in fact a BETA.

Its not even 50% of what the show on E3 or in the Trailers.
There is a LOT to upgrade. But it is still fun. =]

The aspects shown at E3 are those that are in devmode only. As in graphics may change, interfaces may change, they are going through likely last stages of approval or were gauging reactions at E3 before implementing them in a hotfix.
We are getting only the stuff that is basically soft stamped approved. |

I have the same problem, but I found a way to get past it... it's long and annoying... but it works. Here's how it goes:
Go through all the stuff normally until you get stuck on loading... wait (it can be long so go do something else and come back from time to time) then you'll get the character selection screen, create/select your charter then wait through the next load point. Eventually you'll get a server disconnect error. From there, just restart the process by pressing X (DO NOT restart the game). just go through it all... loads shouldn't take too long and you'll get in the game in no time. Just don't leave or you'll have to do it all over again.
hope it helped.... its long and annoying... but it works.

Some people paid 20 dollars to get in the beta though (not including me) and have the exact same problem as I, they deserve to get better service than that. |
