one other thing i've noticed is that from a distance, you cannot distinguish friend from foe. i've shot at people and vehicles thinking they were enemy and they turned out to be on my team. sometimes the blue marker is above my team and red ones are over the enemy, but not all the time. it would be good to have these indicators on all the time so friendly fire incidents don't happen as much. this is especially important since there are no uniform differences between sides. if each side was wearing a noticeably different uniform (drop suit) it wouldn't matter, but since everyone is mixed and you can be working with someone one game and against them the next, some kind of friend vs foe markers need to be in place. |

Indicators appear over the heads of anyone in line of sight that are also within sensor range (that circle on your minimap).
I have noticed a problem with some vehicles not getting indicators, even at exceptionally close range, however. |

You know what I think would FIX this problem in a very easy way without having to make everything appear and clutter the screen and add fps drop or lag.
Give the ability to "TAG" a target like in Battlefield where (at least for the PC version) I just hit Q and it puts the enemies indicator above their head for everyone to see and even on the minimap. I would use it for long range sniping. I would wonder if it was friend or foe, so I'd tag and obv.. if it tags it's an enemy. Then you can even track them for a good shot. Or if it's an enemy tank, you can tag it when you see so anyone near by with the ability to take down a tank knows there is one in that general direction.
So, CCP - add the ability to TAG a target. |

This is an annoying problem, friendlies in the line of sights must always appear with indicators regardless of distance. |

I thought that too but
I think you can train/upgrade skills that improve your sensor range. I have to check the marketplace. Also in EVE I believe you can train sensor range. so the same concept should be the same too. |

Do any of you even pay attention to the crosshairs? There is an always-present method of checking right there.
If it turns red its an enemy, if it is black target it is too far away to hit. If it turns blue its an ally.
Do people just not look at what they're shooting or something? I mean the crosshair change is subtle, but it is noticeable especially if you're using a tank, the crosshair is a large arrow that turns red when its pointing at an enemy. |

At distance it is glitchy at best.
Saw two characters approx 400yds away running left to right. The first charcter had a blue chevron and the 2nd charcater had nothing above them. Aimed the crosshair at the 2nd, no change. Closed half the distance, still no change so started shooting, about 3 secs later a blue chevron appeared above the 2nd character also.
Happened with a tank near C, bout 100yds away. no FoF identity until I started shooting and it was revealed to be friendly. No change on the crosshair until the first shots hit. |

This was a major problem for me too; I cant tell who my teammates are and its a little ridiculous. We should get the blue chevron regardless of "sensor range" or it should at least made into a built in feature for recon suits, because as it stands sniping is very broken. |

I agree with knowing where friendlies are regardless of radar or line of sight. Think of it as internal comms. In a realistic battle environment, allied forces are typically aware of the location friendlies in the area. |
