REQUESTED FIX **OWNERS of a vehicle should have the ability to switch to whatever seat in their vehicle they want at will, ejecting the current player in that seat from the vehicle or pushing them to a different seat... Simple request, hopefully programming that in wont be to demanding...**
When I invest 200,000 ISK into my super tank and bring it onto the battlefield, I use it with a bit of conservative understanding of its cost. Cost benefit analysis is key, and I know what she cant take, and what she can't and when to pull out of a roug situation to prevent a loss in a match that I KNOW i wont recover from in the End of Game payout...
Unfortunately, other gamers don't have that conservatism when it comes to vehicles they dont own...
Now I'm fine with players being able to jump in and take the drivers seat on my tank, I'm fine with them taking shotgun too and using me as a lift, I don't want very many special limitations, but frankly, it is annoying that I have to move off to a secluded part of the battlefield to drop my tank and watch carefully for the random jerk that might come sprinting up, take the drivers seat, relegating me to shotgun rider in my own damn 200,000 ISK tank, and then he runs off into the middle of the bloody battlefield into a gauntlet of fire and is doing fine (Because the tank is bloody amazing), but just sits there not even activating the shield reps until he's blown the hell up and runs off to do his own thing like it was no chip off his shoulder...
OWNERS of a vehicle should have the ability to switch to whatever seat in their vehicle they want at will, ejecting the current player in that seat from the vehicle or pushing them to a different seat... Simple request, hopefully programming that in wont be to demanding... |

Bit of a rant but I understand your pain. I agree there should be some control by the owner of the vehicle, maybe simply activation of the vehicle when initially dropped could be limited to the owner so it can't be pinched at a busy spawn, then after that if you get out to hack an objective it's at your risk, I'd be ok with that as a solution. |

I agree with your point completely. You should have total priority with any equipment that you own. |

Had a guy run over and jump in my drops hip, then take off before I could even get in the damn thing. It was the free one, but that was all it took for me realize that I'm going to get really pissed off seeing someone jump into my expensive vehicle and immediately get it blown up.
I'd really, also like some means of making sure some random guy doesn't jack my vehicle the second it hits the ground. Something like a 10 second timer that prevents other players from taking the driver seat would be nice. |

As Fariic said, a 10 second timer would be enough, you could let people get in but put them in turret positions with the drivers door locked to all but the owner, I'm thinking the standard loading ring overlayed with the owners name, ticking down 10 seconds after which the timer clears and the name changes to 'Free' until someone takes the driving seat and their name is displayed as normal. |
