Players will tank heavily armored vechicles on top of buildings and use missiles to forbid players on the other team from attempting to capture objectives, because these buildings can cause splash damage to almost any area by the objectives or the paths required to reach the objectives. Attempting to use a dropship or other vechicle to attack them generally ends in an explosion. Anyone else see this?
Suggestions: Dropships may only fire in flight. If a player calls a drop off of a vechicle at too high an altitude (such as on top of the buildings) the request will be denied. |

Working as intended, for the most part. If you see someone using this sort of tactic, they're using a tactic.
They either saw someone doing it or thought it up themselves and are attempting to try it.
The same thinking is involved in creating those platforms. They're there to be used.
Also, the ships incoming are from Orbit. As long as the request is made on that planet, it wont be denied. |

If it wasn't necessary to copy the tactic back or kamikaze the vechicle I'd say it's working as intended. It's just too powerful in my opinion, needs to be some way to nerf it so it doesn't offer such a massive advantage. |

As much as I hate it, Working As Intended. Do remember that the guy doing that is a sitting duck!!! Just shoot him with (insert big gun here), or at least let your team know so they can deal with it |

Swarm Launchers and Forge Guns fix everything.
No seriously, use them, chances are the dropship in question in a cheap ass militia variant and will die with minimal effort. I can't stand people who complain about vehicles when they have every tool readily available to them to take care of said problem. |

I've tried to lob grenades up or shoot at them, but my weapons don't reach as far as the missiles and so the bloke is able to kill me before I'm even in range. I can kill them, it just takes a great many tries. I understand that any tactic should be allowed, but it's a little absurd in my opinion. It shouldn't be so easy to dominate a field like that. |

Just switch to the militia heavy - shock fit. Hold R1 and lock on with swarm launchers. A stationary dropship is a dead dropship. Switch to your pistol to deal with infantry afterwards.
This is really not an issue, you can easily call in a militia HAV and pick off the dropship as well. There's tons of counters to this. We call that emergent gameplay! :) |

If you are talking abot the DS covering 'C' in the current build map - they can be killed with a sniper rifle. Snipers have the spooky ability to ignore vehicle shields - or maybe you can snipe occupants once the sield is downed by your friendly neighbour hood swarmer. |

No really, I've tried all that but before I can get there they'll hit me with a missile, which does the 300 direct damage and then the 250 splash damage utterly destroys me before I can even get under the arcs to take a shot, let alone get in range. Same thing for the tank, I can't get in a position to aim before it destroys me. Maybe I just suck though. |

It's not as easy as you make it out to be. Since I do this quite a bit Ill explain.
First to really do damage on consistant basis you have to upgrade your missle launchers to XT. You really can't use milita very effective against anything other that turrents and CRU. Then you need to tank your Myron so you have time to react if you are getting shot by forge, swarm, sniper, or other drop ship. I get killed so often that I can only afford to randomly do this now. 100k ships to be effective starts to add up.
Visibility. When you are on one side of map its impossible to really see a merc on the other side of map and even harder to hit. Even when I get the random red its almost impossible to kill unless they are next to a wall and I am using XT missle turrents. Most of the time I dont get red symbols and only get kills when I see the objective I am camping flicker.
I can really only be effective in camping 1 objective at a time and only when I am sitting off the edge of the building where I easily get hit by swarm or forge guns. Remember I have to hit walls or objects near you to do damage to you
How to kill me? I already gave you plenty of ways. When I see someone on the tower roof I call malitia drop ship and militia shock suit. Go up to top of next door tower, hop out, lock dropship, profit.
NO ONE HAS EXCUSE NOW - Get off your "It's not fair because no one on my team will go kill him" |

Kinda hard to get up next to the other building when it just blows you up on your way over. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to get over only to have my dropship blown up by a tank on the ground and the missile launcher tank/dropship on the other building.
Also, it's VERY easy to hit someone with missiles when you can't see them. Those big arcs down by A and B are easy to shoot at, you can launch it diagonally and hit up to the middle of it with 250-550 damage.
I understand that it's "working as intended" or "it's a valid tactic" but we all know that even though it's working as it was coded to or that it's valid, it's still cheap and ruins the fun of the game. Gasp! Me wanting to actually play a fun and competitive game? It's just unfair and needs a little tweaking.
I suppose I just suck for being unable to blow them up but I feel like it's a valid complaint, but everyone has their own opinion on the subject. |

Again....use the swarm launcher, you can lock onto him from hundreds of meters away. I probably blow up 10-15 vehicles a match with the swarm launcher, many of which are shooting at me, and many of those with rockets. Fun fact, once you lock onto a vehicle, the lock will hold even if you move out of the line of sight. You can then fire the missiles to the side, they'll arc around the edge of your cover, and go shooting off towards the locked target.
Normal grenades and small arms fire (Aka anything other than a Forge Gun, HMG, or Swarm Launcher) is not going to do much to properly fit vehicle.
I have very little sympathy for people who complain about vehicles, when they can very easily train swarm launchers and make a cheapy loadout to take them out. I mean I hate to sound cold man, but you gotta use the tools available to you. If what you're doing isn't working, switch to a different tactic.
You have to understand, this is EVE, where nice guys finish last and the spoils of war go to the smartest *******. People will not play fair, they will be cheap, and they will screw you over every chance they get. Its brutal and its not always pleasant, but its what makes EVE an amazing, and horrible universe to play in. |
