Title says it all. The sniper rifle is pretty ineffective if you can only see out to around 200m. I've noticed you can kill people you can't see by guessing where they are, especially if they are not moving. But, I don't think its acceptable to guess where someone is and hope for the best when you should be able to see them.
Also the assault rifle bullets seem to stop around 100 meters, I'm not sure what the deal is what that but hopefully that changes or it was just some weird bug for me. |

The weapon range drop off is intentional since there are skills you can train to increase it. Plus it cuts down on lucky kills. People aren't just going to fire randomly and hope for a lucky hit with a range limit.
I'm totally with you on the draw distance for the sniper though. It really limits their effectiveness. |

Agree about draw distance.
As far as AR's go, every gun has an optimal range. After that, damage starts to decrease exponentially based on distance. The sharpshooter skills improve overall range for their appropriate weapons. |

I support, not just because of sniping, but because I don't want to see an enemy dropship disappear, even though it's still in range of my HAV blaster! |

This is something I've noticed too. It can be quite annoying when you see an arrow saying there is a player there but you can't see one.
I'd also like to see the arrows that hover above players worked on a little. It seems to be far too often when I'm looking through a scope and spot somebody but I can't easily tell if there ally or enemy. It would be nice to see something added to make you know instantly that there is an enemy. Maybe your HUD gives enemy mercenaries a red highlight or a vague glow or something that makes them visually stand out as being on the opposing team.
Normally multiplayer games have specific looks for each team, but seeing as everyone can have whatever armour they want, it would be nice to have a little something extra to help out. |

i think their trying to have a fog of war mechanic or something, but i agree, tired of being in a dog fight and my target just vanishing into the 'distance' at less then distant distances... |

I second this. Most of the time when I am sniping I just shoot at the little hud Arrow because the player isn't there. Dropships fade out really quickly when they are zooming around, it makes it hard to swarm them. |
