Gather round scrubs and unscrubs, this ship's going down and you're all going to die. What made it worth it?
A couple of my favorite memories would have to be:
- Using my Dropship as an elevator for our sniper to take out enemy snipers way up on Manus Peak
- The Caldari Prime event, even if it was basically just a skybox. Cool concept.
- Chasing enemy dropships through buildings at top speed.
- Hilarious bugs like infinite tanks / LAVs being dropped off and HAVs going insanely fast
- Using old dropships as a giant iron boot, crushing all the leg people with glee. Also flying my dropship straight up into others and exploding them because they take more damage than you. Classic.
- The vibrant if somewhat small community.

using a squad to hunt you down with a 4 man squad proto min commando with dual officer swarms and all damage mods while you were trying to make a video.
when you finally died it bugged out and said "large railgun installation", you then posted the video as a rant about OP swarms

-Running around in an assault suit with multiple logis on me
-Running a party tank and dominating everyone, back in 1.7/1.8 I had 2 assigned gunners and they were nasty we would get at least 20 kills each with railguns lol one match i will never forget was when we killed 100-130 clones between the 3 of us and called in like 6 ob' s I lost 4 tanks but damm was it fun taking on multiple tanks and av lol I'm sure you could all agree the best battles were the even battles and they were hard to find as they were usually one sided.

-If you guys remember a small upcoming Corp called silent angels back in 1.7 they had some pretty deadly players in their, I made that with a 'friend' of mine, I recruited most of the players in their then he strips me of my roles when it was pretty much my Corp so I left, i wouldn't say that's a good memory but it is one I won't forget, that corporation had a lot of potential.
-Running solo and taking on tank squads and fighting tanks in general
-Meeting all of you and receiving a lot of hate :)
-As a lot of you probably know I didn't do pc much mainly bcz of my ****** internet or lag switchers but i joined John c conners once as it was meant to be a no show, we still had 3 quarters of the mcc armour left for the match to end then all of a sudden a full team shows up, I rushed my tank to their red line, me and John held them back for as long as we could while getting guys in as we were kind of prepared for something like this, long story short, we held them of for like 5 minutes, I got some friends in their and we managed to win by a few tics.
-Making Duna snipe was one of my favourites, the so called best tanker and his tank squad afraid of a little terrorist :p
I have to many memories of dust I could write a book full of them but I'll leave you guys with that and a link to my previous post if any one up ever wondered why i started scamming and how much I made :)

My favorite memory was the time I assualt forge gunned a gunner out of a dropship across the map, seen him go rag dolling into space then blew up the dropship with another blast and when the pilot bailed hit him with my last blast and they also went rag dolling into space.
The amount of luck i had to have to land those forge hits was insane and it will always be my favorite memory.

Lots of memories... But the most stupid fun was flying "yom" (can't remember his entire name, since it looked like someone headbutted the keyboard) trying to get small blaster turret kills, when the range was practically that of a shotgun.
Tanking with and against DELBOY.
Squadding up with the Gummibears.
The amusing pub matches that pitted gummibear scrubs against DMG scrubs.
That time the AV guy shot my poorly balanced dropship off the rings and squashed himself.
Getting redzone camped... Whether I was the only one outside the redzone in my little LAV, or those few times people spawned on my uplinks and caused havoc behind the enemy.
Calling in tanks on towers (back when we could) and then proceeding to have a fight with all the other tower tanks.
Fighting as and against the Jihaad jeeps... I still maintain it was one of the most entertaining battle mechanics.
All te sbundo and that silly Irish bloke that kept encouraging my stupid vehicle antics.
There's more... Lots of people I squadded up with and had a good time with... I didn't really achieve anything useful, but I hope some people remember the stupid things that I may have had a hand in.
Oh... and the forum game!
Almost forgot... Hoving above Judge Rhadamanthus Pythons and shooting a single missile at it... And preparing for the rants about not crashing into people. We never agreed that it was his fault for afterburning straight up, instead of always going forwards or to the side. heheh... The pilots were fun, but damn the arguments were entertaining too. |
