It's sort of like a disk reading or grinding noise, and it feels like it comes from the PSU, but I'm not sure...
Thing is, I'm on my computer up to 12 hours a day, EVERY day...since late 2015. I'm afraid something might be wrong.
The noise itself only lasts for about 2-3 minutes after i press the power button, however it seems to go away faster if I bang on the case a few times, not sure about that though.
I could ask my clanmates in WoT but I'm chatbanned for "Inappropriate behavior in chat" until the 24th lol

Well, a disk reading sort of noise could be your HDD failing, but since you mentioned that it feels like it's coming from the power supply then I'm gonna have to say that a grinding kind of noise could be a fan bearing failing and your power supply does have a fan.
And the fact that it only lasts 2-3 minutes could suggest that your power supply's fan is running at full speed during boot up and that is causing the damaged bearing to make the sound.
Of course all that being said I could just be talking out of my ass here.
One way to test these things would be to start unplugging stuff and see if the sound goes away when you power on. Obviously you cannot unplug your power supply if you still want to turn the power on.

Yeah I think it might just be the fan bearing on the PSU itself, the noise goes away when I hit the case a few times.

+1 for PSU fan.
You could check by unplugging everything from the PSU apart from the motherboard, hitting the power button and see if the noise is still there. The only other moving part would be the CPU fan but as long as the PSU and CPU are far enough apart you should be able to tell where it's coming from. |

It's all the catgirls.
When my computer did that the fan (or battery can't remember which)was dying and it was overheating. Since I was/am not too techy i just stopped using it and took it apart once I got a new one.

It doesn't make the noise every time I start it up, however it seems to be more frequent lately, maybe once a week. I'll see how things work out...I'm NOT unplugging anything in fear of forgetting where stuff was plugged in, or god forbid breaking something, I'll look for a fix seriously when it really needs fixing, it's fine still so... Thanks for the feedback, guys. o7

What? CCP games being a tech support is probably the most ironic thing when their unofficial name is Can't Code Properly.
