Right, but it was the officer that said it to the enlisted men in the movie. You wouldn't expect the us to be the officer in this situation would you?
I think it could go either way as the Devs are much more like the people on England taking their boats out to get us as they are the officers that are stranded with us on a foreign beach waiting to be taken back.
It is a good movie, but a sloppy analogy, aside from the image of a bunch of people waiting in line a long time for something.
