I get stuck in a black screen right when the march is about to start. I can hear the background sounds and sounds when I move around in the menu but its all black and nothing happens. Twice in row now and all I can do is quit the game and start over.
Edit: I have only been trying the EU skirmish |

I've had this several times too (also connecting to the EU server)
I've found if you wait for a while you get the "Connection to host lost" error and kicked back to your Merc's Quarters |

I've had this three times, each time I had just been away from my ps3 for a while, came back and tried to join a game. The last time it happened my ps3 beeped and then completely crashed, which can only be safe.
So if you do have to go afk, I'm assuming leave the game and then start it up again. |

Hmm may be some true to that but I do you have to shut down your console. So far I have gotten 3 black out, out of 3 and every time I have to quit game but this time I am going to wait for Connection to host lost and then turn off console to see if it helps.
Edit: I can confirm that truing off your console let it rest for 5 sec then turn it on makes the black screen go way. |

Having this issue as well, on EU.
Tried the trick The2 Holgg mentioned, didn't work for me. |

I just let the black screen run until the connection is lost and have no problem joining the next game. |

Had this twice today joining the EU server, but went straight into a battle on the US server. |

Yes so far the best solution for me is just wait for the Connection lost and try again. I think it was just random luck was fine for like 5 or so rounds. |

This.
I've had it happen about 4-5 times this evening but i let it time out and just go back to merc quarters, then i joined again with no problems.
To be fair, i'd rather have this than the hard crash we had every 3 games or so on the last build. |

What is causing the issue is the loading screen with the controller map on it. So as you leave battlefinder to got War room and from war room to actual battle.
What is really annoying is that you cant even guarantee to get ONE GAME. I had started console from cold, logged in and immediately blackscreen first game. Got the connection to host message (Oh really so why can I still hear my team mates from the battle?)
Then I joined the US server (still with my euro team mates in my ears) and proceeded to fight the US battle. As time went on there were more and more Euro voices all saying the same thing - black screened.
The fact is I am spending more time logged out of the game this build than I did the last one.
Remember last weeek how your player base were saying give us the build last weekend to shake it down properly? Didnt listen and now you are in this position with less than 10 hours to go for a potential 10k people to come marvel at your ****** broken build. |
