 Rattati has established Nova is not Dust 2.0 any many of the mechanics will not transfer, they are transferring the soul.
 
 The change from a per suit isk cost to a per match cost combined with a payout system that rewards based on the team's performance rather than the individual presents strong incentives to free-ride, to let your teammates do the work.
 
 What kind of tools do you think should be in place to help mitigate this issue?
 
 
 
  No time spent in x dropsuit progression system, has to be active, like WP earned
 Greater WP for completing/fighting near objectives & balanced across classes
 Nominate to kick teammates 
 Team/Squad leader objective system to promote tactics
 Insurance payouts based on win only 
 
 Because people were willing to AFK in the MCC in dust, I'm sure they'll do the same in Nova if it still rewards them

 I still believe that balancing the payouts around WP (if it will exists) would work if the WP system was reworked to balance the gains.
 As this is the easiest way to separate those who play and those who afk or do little to nothing.

 Insurance paying out on win only would kinda defeat the purpose. It would cause people to switch to a loss adverse stance as soon as it looked like they were going to lose which would snowball into a loss.

 I always assumed the afking was because people couldn't afford to have fun going all out every match, so they farmed up in safety... Now that winning is more important, there's really no reason to afk, because you'll get sod all.
 
 Also, just a better detection system for people doing nothing will do the trick. Honestly why you weren't kicked if you didn't leave the MCC for the whole match is beyond me... Even a complete moron can figure the way out in less than 5 minutes, lol.
 
 If there's a redzone, then kicking people who don't leave it for 5 minutes would do the trick. If you all get redzones, you're just gonna have to run out and try to do something... It was possible in Dust and this (hopefully) will be better balanced.
 
 I might also suggest not paying anything to the lowest performing 2 or 3 players on each team, but only if the game can detect performance accurately and evenly between all roles... Don't want everyone going logi, lol.
