From what I heard of those that tried it, kbm was so hamstrung that it was an incredible disadvantage. The only device worse was the PS Move.

Indeed, some friends tryed too the kb/m and the problem was the latence and the accuracy (contradyctory thing when you play with a mouse lol).
DUST wasn't optimisd for this, it's for this reason in your video this dude play with damage zone weapons.
Let me give you an example, why the ds3 controller was better, even against Latinos.

I heard it was much easier to snipe with it and to side step, but worse basically everything else.

This was just my personal experience but when I tried mouse and keyboard on Dust it was SO clunky and I could barely even hit people.

I basicly don't care, but EVERYONE should use exactly the same input method. The idea that some who were really good at KBM could use that and wipe the floor with everyone still using a controller (or vice versa) tells me that for some it was indeed a benefit that put them significantly above the rest in each match, at least for what they were doing. Everyone having to use the same input method would make the playing field a lot more level. |

I plugged in my mouse every time I went to snipe all match from the back of the map kept the controller for movement and just aimed with the mouse, good times, and lots of headshots.
I will never forget that one time I headshotted a cloaked scout at just under 450m range, while he was running full speed.

I wanted to try it, but my only keyboard is attached to my laptop, I'm assuming it was a problem with remote keyboard and not just that Dust was programmed to not let you hold down more than 1 key at a time, lol...
Suffice to say I found it very difficult to make any sort of evasive action... Or walk diagonally. |

Completely agree. I tried it and it was aweful.

Having tried both, I really, REALLY disliked how they made KBM, so I just stuck with controller. Meh.
