Like others, I miss Dropships.
I took the road seemingly less traveled with my Armor Missile Incubus. I definitely wasn't the best killer in an ADS, though I was more than capable, but i did consider myself one of the better pilots. I preferred close air support for the guys on the ground, as well as playing bait for enemy rail tanks back during the rail sniping days. I'd go high, draw out the enemy rails, relay the info to my own tankers, and profit. I loved working close with my tankers, but close air support was my bread and butter. Low (I'm talking low low) and fast, weaving through buildings, I could get right into any area big enough for a DS and start indiscriminately raining down shells to either kill or push back the enemy. My 4800+ armor kept me stable and safe(ish). No afterburners, no side gunner, no frills. Just one man, his ADV missile turret, and enough armor plates to choke a donkey.
I also ran a Grims of the same style. Even more armor, and 1 or 2 scanners depending on my mood (no guns obviously). While not particularly useful, it could pick up equipment, as well as those mercs who never put anything into the dampening skill (a surprising amount of more advanced mercs seemed to never touch that ability). There was also the psychological effect of a DS swooping down to like 7 ft and casually floating down the street with scanners active, not taking damage. Even a hit from a rail tank wasn't a massive deal. Not many tanks could, or ever did, 2 shot me, and 1 shot kills didn't happen.
So much fun.
I will also miss riding turret in my buddies tank, map pulled up, calling out enemy positions. |

For some reason I thought the forums were shut down.
I really miss Dust, I haven't been able to get into any games since. Now I hardly ever play anything.
I miss the team play, the people, the everything really. It blows my mind that the game wasn't more popular to this day. |

Well im not getting a dust fix anymore ... so i cant share that with ya. I cant get into a game like i did with dust ... the good, the bad, the ugly ... it was a bad a$$ game. "the head, the tail, the whole damn thing" LOL |

No, I did a little of everything on the ground. Vehicles were far too expensive for my play style. |

I miss flying Yom around trying to let him kill things with the side blaster turret... Before the blaster turrets were changed, most of the kills would have been easier if he just stood on the roof with a shotgun. |
