I've never seen this game, but looks like Dust and The Division share some surprising similarities.
We all had a lot of occasion to think about 'that' in general some time ago . Personally, I blame MMO element - it is the most neutral way to deal with this sort of things.
Guy on video blames players that use exploits, but it is human nature to take advantage over the game mechanics which makes it easier to achieve the personal objectives.
At the other hand there is always a crowd of people who lay blame on the developers who let all of this simply 'slip' through the testing phase, beside developers reaction time on problem is another issue.
If reping your friend on the redline would not reward you with WP that you can use for another orbital that put you closer to the top on 'board of fame', no one would waste they time on things like that. MMOFPS games need to be more focus on FPS elements, and less(much lesss) on MMO.
