Doc proceeds to ask questions to prompt independent response (speech, without go between, directly to me) considers my nodding/shaking head not good enough.
'Why aren't you talking?'
*facepalms*
'Why are you upset?'

(Doc drops me as a patient)

This was a doctor that specifically works with mostly disabled/autistic patients. My pain doc with no/very little understanding of autism is awesome but he's baffled like every doctor but he tries to help me out.
And I've been to the autism doc before (a lot) so he knows me, so this was unusual, changing docs again.

They don't spend enough time teaching doctors bedside manner. Some are just plain awful.
