Funny how almost all of the mercenaries roaming the forums long after the servers were shut down are the old OGs. I played for a good 8 months, yet I still find myself reading old posts and topics about the rise of different "FOTM"s ,
I'll never be able to get the same feeling of fun/bullshit that I got from Dust 514 again. Oh how I wish I could run my 2 complex damp 1 kin cat Scout Mk.0 with all shields and my trusty Assault Combat Rifle and Ishukone Nova Knives.
That Assault Combat Rifle melts, and I miss it dearly ;-;

(Btw CCP, why didn't you buff ion pistols? I know I'm **** at this game, but that thing sucked. You had to be in heavy melee distance to even do a slight bit of damage to shields, and the ******* overheat lasted longer than the great depression! The **** happened with that weapon?)

The jab at the IonP is unnecessary. It was perfectly fine, imo people didn't use it enough. I dominated just fine with dual Ions, when I wasn't bullshitting and fuckin around. I know Sgt Kirk did the same with the Ions.
GalScout with full complex reactives, or a GalAss with full reactive/repair and just Ions in both slots.
I became pessimistic with horrible intervals of maddening optimisim
