Now's the time to think back on strategies we could have theoretically tried in Dust. I thought of one a while ago, but we never actually tried it:
Meat-armor on tanks.
Having trouble with an enemy proto rail tank? Just buy your friendly tank time to kill it by having a bunch of infantry standing on the front of the friendly tank. That way, when the enemy tank fires, the railgun round will insta-kill one of the infantry instead of hitting the friendly tank.
Maybe even have your meat-shields all holding repair tools in case it does get hit.

Sounds like having a logi there to rep and revive your meat shield would be a must.

Actually being able to finish a match was like, a crazy strategy. I only saw this go down like, twice. It was crazy, man.

I always enjoyed having people with forge guns and plasma cannons on top of my dropship, though that only happened a couple times cuz I'm an antisocial madman

I've been a good LAV driver so I've always wanted to coordinate an 8 man rail-turret things LAV tank hunt. Driver would be Minlogi and Gal heavy sent gunner with maxed out LAV & guns.
A BPO only (pre APEX) PC.
A proto damped breach FG squad on the map were you can drop onto those orange pipes, instead of being on the pipes on either side of that long road a sent and a logi would be elevated on either the rounded top buildings or on the hill just above the gray wall that you can't walk on.
Make that road a kill box provided the sentinels and logis weren't scanned. *or some scout shows up and REs them to hell*

Yeah, too bad everything about LAVs was underpowered.
Back when vehicle-reps were a thing, we tried our "LAV circlejerk" strategy, where 2 LAVs would be repping each other.
Turned out to be useless because, not only is it hard to keep the rep going while you're both moving, but it's slower than having an active armor rep on your LAV.
