Like many of you, I refuse to give up on Dust. I've since moved on to Valkryie but obviously it isn't filling the void.
How many of you would be interested in a Dust port to VR or perhaps even a new FPS in VR. There are so many possibilities available with infantry based combat on a VR platform - so why not? While I'm anxiously waiting for Project Nova to become something, I'm dreading that it will be exactly what I fear it will be, a watered down version of what we loved.
Don't get me wrong, Valkryie is great, but it lacks so much. It's already been out for a year and still doesn't compare to where Dust 514 was at the same time. It lacks customization, EVE Lore, player interaction, consistency, and more.
I miss my Laser Rifle, I miss you jerks - VR is the future and I hope that CCP can make something great for us Dust Bunnies. |

As a dirty poor, I hope not. I mean eventually yes, but not for a few years. The next game needs to be more accessable to grow a broad base, VR is anything but broadly accessable right now.
Some day though, could be fun.

I don't think 20 FPS in VR is good for your stomach...
OPTIMIZE TO... Can't think of a clever continuation of that.

20 FPS ? Why ? Get a good gpu and you'll have a buttery smooth VR experience. PSVR also works pretty nice if Nova goes on console someday.
Though as Dust Fiend said, VR headsets are way too expensive for now and I'd rather have a solid non-VR experience first.

Err... First of all, LOL
Second, I was talking about how Dust 514 in VR would be unhealthy since it never ran higher than 20 FPS.
Third, and the saddest, I have a GTX950, and apparently it doesn't support VR... shite

Let's not suggest anything that could in any way hinder production of Nova, especially things like wild VR FPS tangents......CCP might actually take that idea and run with it. Then we'll all be waiting 5 years for a release that none of us can afford to play.

Not everything needs to be VR. I just want Nova.
That said: They could start integrating Valkyrie into Eve a bit more... I mean not a direct connection, but making it feel like it taking place in the Eve Universe. They could start with... calling Silver ISK and Gold Aurum. Why the heck don't they? After that more faction flavor. They basically have 3 ship models and different weapons strapped onto them. It feels so... generic.
