I just wanted to ask because back when I could play this game I loved being on the forums and playing the game cause the community was great but I don't want to be inappropriate and just throw my little campaign up here without first getting the ok from the devs and community. |

I don't think the dev's will care so much about you putting a link, as much as they do in general.

Alright cool  I just wanted to make sure the people here were ok with it before I put it up and just want to thank you guys for responding.
I couldn't see anything in particular against posting but since my name appears on the gfm page I wasn't sure if that would count but hell, if a dev takes it down its alright with me since this is a dust forum not a funding forum lol |

It's me trying to get funding for pre-owned vehicle since I haven't been able to buy one and most jobs are out of my town 15-20 miles away and it's hard to rely on friends & family only when they are busy. |

My GoFundMe
This is my GoFundMe campaign.
My campaign isn't about me being sick or any huge tradgedy that has befallen me. This campaign is about a ongoing problem I've been having in my area for years now and has affected me being successful or independent. I am in a dire need of a vehicle so i can make it to jobs, carry out tasks and just have peace of mind that if I want to go somewhere I don't need to plan ahead either days or hours in advance for a trip and that's if a family member or one of my only friends in the area is available and not busy himself. My goal is $5,500 this way i can buy a pre-owned vehicle, get the registrationfor it and tags. I just want to thank everyone who read all of this to the end and thank the Dust514 community for all the fun I had playing before the servers were shut down.

It's not so much against human nature as it is against Capitalistic nature. Also, most of us give up our money for things we never see any tangible return on. They're called taxes, which are primarily spent on ballistic missiles and the like.

You speak as if we haven't turned that trait into something that is now part of us. You see it in kids all the time: not sharing unless they get something in return.
Also, we give up taxes because it's mandatory by law.
This is why not a lot of people actually contribute gofundme's, but they do Kickstarter. In Kickstarter, they contribute to a project that they may actually see a return in, even more so the more tiers you unlock, or stretch goals reached.
Not trying to get into a debate, though. I just made a small comment on a small thread.

You only see it in kids because they reflect their parents and the adults around them. My daughter shares with kids constantly, toys, food, her tablet or games, she compromises with kids who want to play other things etc etc, and she's just 4.
And the tax point is correct, but doesn't change the fact that most of your taxes you will never see a personal return in anything other than "our boom booms keep the boom booms over seas" which is kind of a mixed back of truth and falsities. I think it's more sad that people have to turn to the charity of strangers just to get themselves on their feet because things are so heavily stacked against the lower half of our society.

I agree, if only well over 50% of our tax dollars weren't literally going up in smoke. It would nice to be over 20th in education and get above a D on our infrastructure, considering we still have the balls to claim we're "The Greatest Nation on Earth"
