I'm choosing not to address the "Pokey Dravon's Criticism" video, because it reeks of high school drama. Instead I will RE: "Gunjack 2 Announcement, and what it means for Project Nova"...
TL;DR seems to be: Gunjack 2 took development resources from Project Nova.
Gunjack and Gunjack 2 are CCP Shanghai side projects. The quote I read from CPM that attended fanfest was that Gunjack was something a small group of devs worked on between other tasks. I believe it was Kevall Longstride who said this, but I can't be sure as this was roughly a year ago. Point being, the amount of time and money spent on making these two games is negligible. The Gunjack IP isn't harming Project Nova's chances of being made. In fact, it is likely increasing those odds, which brings me to my next point...
The Gunjack IP gives CCP Shanghai another source of revenue beside the Chinese EVE server. This is a good thing since a group of devs making money for CCP won't get shitcanned, you feel me? Project nova needs funding and I bet CCP would be more likely to loosen its purse strings if it has Gunjack bringing up its bottom line.
In the video you basically say "Well pretty much all of CCP Shanghai's development resources have been going into Gunjack." And how exactly do you figure that? CCP does not release the size of their dev teams, their current tasks, or which projects are given priority right now. You are making a huge assumption with that statement and have no evidence to back it up. Studios sometimes work on multiple games concurrently.
You also state work won't be done on Nova until end of next year. Dude... did you even reach out to the former CPM before making this video? They are speaking with CCP daily about Nova, CCP LogicLoop was rehired specifically to work on Nova and says so at least once every couple weeks. Work is going on right now, homie.
And I want to stress that just because CCP is not communicating the current state of Project Nova that does not mean it is not in development. That doesn't mean I like the silence! Don't misunderstand -- I hate the silence and I believe it is hurting CCP in the long run. But it doesn't mean Nova is canceled. It just means CCP is absolute shite at PR, which is not a new revelation
My advice to you, playa.

DUST Fiend wrote:I'm just wondering why the project has yet to be greenlit (at least publicly, unless I missed it) if there's such active development on it? Seems like something they'd want to mention, if literally nothing else. I'm of the the school of thought that the game was greenlit shortly after fanfest and there isn't really a need to announce it. Not that we wouldn't love to hear that kind of thing, but it's not really required to continue working. They rehired an employee who worked on DUST 514, CCP LogicLoop, specifically to work on project nova. That should tell you something.
The only must-have announcement is the alpha and/or beta.

Fox Gaden wrote:Will they wait to see how fans react to the game at Fanfest 2017? Or will they want to make the grand announcement at Fanfest 2017? Rattati is running out of time to reach his originally stated goal of an alpha this year. We're nearing the holiday season and that means it will get progressively harder to get things done.
If we do not have an alpha ready this year then I would put money on an announcement at FF 2017. Why? One silly reason: CCP marketing loves a big reveal.
