Pokey and Soraya finally play Necropolis in co-op. We discuss the changes coming to The Division, what makes a game distinctively belong in the New Eden universe, and a whole lot more.

I hate myself. Does that count?
Anything is possible given enough time.

Yes. So does Frame from what I hear. The self loathing at CCP must be strong.

Pokey's take on why Destiny bombed could easily be applied to DUST as well. - Hype was not lived up to. - Internal restructuring (Although in DustGÇÖs case it improved things) - Had to release the game when it was not well crafted. - Lack of experience with this type of game. - Trying a bit too hard to be unique rather than doing what other games did. - Will take a whole new game, mechanics rebuilt from the ground up, to make it good.
Now take NOVA: - No Hype. Can't even get them to talk about it. - Lets hope Rettati sticks with it for continuity. (And because he knows better than anyone what is needed.) - Controlling scope (Get a good FPS ready for release before tackling vehicles and Planitary Conquest.) - They have all those lessens they learned from DUST on what works and what does not. - The first Demo may have looked generic, but it worked! Now they can build New Eden content on top of something that works. - Rebuilding the core mechanics, but get to reuse weapons stats and graphics.
Looking at Nova that way could a person fell optimistic!
Edit: Of course Destiny had great game mechanics, but did not have the content to hold you, while DUST could hold your interests but you had to put up with really rough game mechanics.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
