Will be a good idea if someone go to one of the CCP offices and ask info for the progress of the project nova game? +Ö think they will accept someone from CPM or from a well-known site such as IGN. If you have friends that work in gaming sites, please ask them if they can go to the offices. Also it's a great opportunity if someone lives in those countries where the offices are!

I hate to break it to you but CCP has no obligation or desire to share such information with anyone outside the company mainly because, unless that individual has signed an NDA (such as the CPM - and trust me they have tried to get CCP to be more vocal) the assumption is that the individual will ultimately share said information publically.
That being said, the act of answering such a question to an outside person would effectively be the same as announcing it publically. Obviously CCP currently has no desire to announce anything publically, otherwise they would have just done it themselves already.
I know you're anxious and it's a tough pill the swallow, but be patient. In the mean time it would be most productive to perhaps lead community discussions about game elements you would like to see in Nova

Well, Im looking at it more from a PR standpoint. EVE Vegas was the infamous "Laser Focused" comment so from a PR standpoint, it may be asking for criticism to make any sort of announcement related to the Dust (which was clearly NOT laser focused) or any of its derivatives, at that event in particular. My ability to weather through all the bullshit is really where my boundless optimism comes from....at the same time I don't want people to get themselves all hyped up only to be disappointing. Just concerned because I love you motherfuckers.
Fun Fact: While I was not the one that asked the specific question that resulted int he "Laser Focused" answer, I was part of that panel and did ask a couple questions. Also sat down with some of the devs after that presentation and talked about various things. Funny enough I think that was the last event they attended before Fanfest 2014 which as you know likely ended their careers at CCP.

I think that if they would be planing something everyone would already know, because it would be just one step of bigger campaign.
Common sense tells me that it is good that development team is keeping 'things' for them self, and not make mistakes like previous guys with topics like randomly generated environment, MTAG(however they were called), habitable planets, and every other little things that we all never seen in-game. If player-base wish to see something in game, that was told to them that it gone be there(eventually), and somehow it can not be delivered, everyone feels disappointment because of it and felt like they were cheated. So it is better for developer to not talk to much about product, especially about things he do not know if he can deliver or not, it has impact on sale.

I agree that news at eve Vegas would be out of character for how ccp has handled things in the past. I mean, it's possible they could do a soft alpha announcement. But I'd be surprised. It seems to me like they're going to probably wait till next fanfest and have a much more "polished" game then before. Something that will be much better at handling scrutiny then dust ever was.
But we shall see. I also have a boundless sense of optimism for this game. I want to play it as soon as possible. The only thing that will bring me down is if they drop the game. Especially if they do it without telling us. Like..... If they went to next fanfest and didn't even mention project nova. That's pretty much the only thing that would truly disappoint me. But I think better of ccp then that!
I think they realize nova could be a good way to increase/recover a steadily declining eve population. You can see how they're making more and more radical changes to the game to try and bring some attention back. Citadels, this new "free to play" option, and eventually I hope eve nova as well

CCP is going to cancel Nova if they haven't done so already, and will either A) give the idea away like they did WoD, or B) keep making projects just to cancel then AND THEN proceed to step A.
Either way, the boat won't work after it hit the iceberg.
