I have but to be honest, despite all its faults and quirks, nothing comes as close to DUST 514.
Maybe I am being a little melodramatic & wearing my DUST tinted glasses.
Either way it would be nice for some Project:Nova news.
Welcome to Dust. The bitter, salty taste is a feature just like the lag.

Anyway, it is really weird how CCP seems to work the opposite way other devs do. When it comes to EA, Ubisoft, Activision, etc, they throw whatever they have out there for a game (mostly pics and story vids) just to get and retain interest until release. When it comes to CCP, they give game info like once a quarter (if that) and most times it is just text. I could see how that alone would turn players off to their games. I know it was an uphill battle trying to bring over people to DUST when it first started and it was one of few F2P titles on PS3. Anyway, I think CCP would do better sales wise (and player wise) if they worked on that.

Oddly comfortable, yet disturbing, to see I am not the only Merc missing my daily dose. The only FPS I've even felt like playing is the UT pre-alpha, but none of my machines can handle it very well :( So I've fallen back to PGA Golf. At least I can get a few headshots with some well placed balls :)

Nova being on PC is so exciting, I honestly hate using a ps3. Dust was basically the only game I played on my old ps3, and having to use it discouraged me from playing dust as often. It's been awhile since i've had a good shooter on PC, for example I used to really like blacklight retribution, but the company that owns that is not trustworthy considering they ban accounts without reason.
Eve Online is probably the best game I've played but it's not something you can just hop onto and battle, it takes a lot of time. This is why I reeallly want Nova, I want something like eve without the time commitment. Also the universe and lore creates a really immersive play field. |

When it comes to CCP, they give game info like once a quarter (if that) and most times it is just text (unless it is specific their flagship EVE). I could see how that alone would turn players off to their games. I know it was an uphill battle trying to bring over people to DUST when it first started and it was one of very few F2P titles on PS3. Anyway, I think CCP would do better sales wise (and player wise) if they worked on that. I think that CCP has an issue with getting people's interest in something that they then have to deliver on. That always seemed to be the problem with past failed games - with EvE they knew they had a working game, whereas with other games, they weren't so sure. Even with EvE, though, there are aspects to it that CCP has been coy about - it seems to have started with the failed move towards integration of EvE and Dust. A lot of people were very unhappy with that, on both sides - those that were really looking forward to it felt shafted when it didn't happen, while those that thought it should never be felt that a lot of effort was wasted on something that never actually happened. We still have the Captain's Quarters (same as Merc Quarters, just nicer) which is basicly completely useless to most EvE players, as it really is for Dust as well. That represented a lot of development that was basicly wasted.
I imagine CCP is a lot more cautious these days because of this sort of thing. |

EDIT: I'd love a link to the dust discord that isnt expired I have to say I am the complete opposite when it comes to platforms. I play EvE on the PC and the input mechanism of the PC suits EvE really well - none of the controls are dynamic in any way - you direct it more like acting like the captain of a ship, and you let the computer do all the work. The lack of any form of analogue controls is irrelevant to EvE.
Dust, on the other hand, relies heavily on dynamic input via some form of controller. Using the PC interfaces to do this seems inappropriate to me, where the analogue controls of a DS3 or DS4 or even an XBOX controller seems more reasonable, more direct and immediate. I think if CCP were to support game console style controllers on the PC for Nova, I'd be happy with that, but otherwise, I would rather use a console. |

Xbox 360 controller support is really easy to implement, it's likely it will be supported, but you will probably be at a disadvantage because mouse and keyboard are usually superior for accuracy and precision. |

MKB for Dust was awful, largely because of your point that they would have an advantage in FPS. To compensate, CCP made some adjustments, and it made the MKB pretty much unusable (at least from what I heard from those that tried to use it).

Xbox 360 controller support is really easy to implement, it's likely it will be supported, but you will probably be at a disadvantage because mouse and keyboard are usually superior for accuracy and precision. * I recall I actually used mouse and keyboard for dust 514, I hooked it up to my PS3 and I believe it worked, unless I'm having memory. I don't think I used it that much cause it was a hassle to set it up to the PS3, but it was much easier for me, as I've not used controllers in so long that I'm not good with them anymore OK, I agree in principle about the mouse being more accurate, mainly because it represents positional accuracy - you just point it at what you want to aim at, rather than having a stick to do it, which is actually much better for flight controls. I thought that the PS Move should also have been good for the positional accuracy thing but it was a disaster in my opinion.
My main concern is with the keyboard, which I don't believe is as good for controlling movement as is a controller. That said, I remember playing Doom on PC, using mouse and keyboard and it worked fine, so perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to it.... |

Here are a few facts some people aren't aware of , Dust514 wasn't meant to be as successful as it was . It started as an experiment , in which in time it gain traction and motivation during its course . Once game development switch hands to our "Lord & Savior" Ratatti & Company ( Duke , Logibro etc ) the technology of the ps3 was a huge handicap for the huge HD updates and mechanics for the game . This is the only game ive actually bought PSN cards to purchase in game merchandise ( Amarr Templar pack ) . Once they announced , it will be moved to P.C i tried to get early access asap . Fingers crossed

Here is something that will help the hardware software of all drivers : Booster Driver 3 by iobit ( its free ) . It will update all hardware drivers software properly. . 2. Need to verify Registry files of Doom files . May have ( missing or outdated or corrupted files that need to be replaced ) i suggest uninstalling game 1st and updating system software ( both operations & hardware drivers / Graphics cards/ sound cards etc ) using windows update 1st & then Booster Driver 3 . 3.make sure game requirements of doom are compatible for your p.c hardware & software. ( adjust visual computer graphics to maximum performance & battery as well ) do a clean sweep of all junk files etc . I had to do this the hard way to get p.c games playing awesome on my computer.
