From what I understand, dust was posting profit in 2015. The player base wasn't that much different in consistency in comparison to 2016.

So what I'm asking is: did dust make profit overall? If a concrete answer isn't allowed I'll take even a vague one.

Specifically I'm interested in the average amount of money players spent on the game. What was the attrition rate of new players. For the players who played for more then three months, how much did they pay? What was the record amount someone dropped into the game?

My question is based off of, if dust posted a profit with an average player base of 1 - 3 thousand players, imagine what it could post if done right and about 30,000 players play on average.

 Just curious

Assuming you found out and then said the number out loud you could expect a certain Frame fellow to show up on your doorstep and drop the "Hammer of Justice" squarly on your noggin for violating the first rule of Dust Club

According to either CCP Rattati or CEO Hilmar Veigar, it was seeing profit. They just never mentioned by how much and for how long. I'm willing to bet it was for a few months since Rattati took over development but then stagnated when it was becoming clear that Dust is near it's end long before the shutdown announcement was ever posted.

Forgot to make a bet as well that the profit margin was probably just enough to get by. CCP Rattati was having to operate with a skeleton crew for Dust.

How much money it didn't make.. if they had the NPE in place, PVE, and 1.8 at launch they would of had lots more retention. SOO much missed potential to make so much money.

They won't answer the question. This is one of the things the CPM was not privy to, nor were we invited to weigh in on the actual business side. If it doesn't pertain directly to DUST, the game itself, or Nova the chances of an actual, official answer rapidly approach nil.

We can speculate all we want, but the answers aren't likely forthcoming.

In all seriousness though, i may have put up to $200 in. Reaching AUR proto before my skills were there was attractive to feel somewhat competitive. I admit i was still horrible even then. But i felt like i had a psychological edge thinking i was better.
