(2nd attempt as 1st seems to have vanished, well, not made it to the forums) As in ccp's own words, 'tiered rewards to those loyal dust customers, more to be announced at fanfest', well fanfest has been and gone for some time, as has dust itself, still no announcement from ccp regarding this (what a surprise), i only played dust since beta occasionally, and every day for the last 2 years of dust, i must simply not have been loyal enough, (ps even if ccp sent me an 'alien gaming pc', i would not play another ccp game), this is just me pointing out to those with memory issues, that, well, ccp lies and lies to it's customers.

The sentence said "details to be announced". It did not in any way specify a date for said announcement, and it DEFINITELY didn't mention FanFest.
I think you might be confusing that line with the one where they talked about Project Legion and FanFest 2014.

CCPGÇÖs development team in Shanghai has been working on a prototype for a first-person shooter for PC with the goal of building a great FPS set in our sci-fi universe of New Eden (the universe in which EVE Online, DUST 514, EVE: Valkyrie, and Gunjack are set). Their experience is being utilized to build a new game from scratch using Unreal Engine 4 while harnessing all our learnings from DUST 514. This is in many ways an evolution of Project Legion, the concept we announced at EVE Fanfest 2014, but without the limitations of technical debt and development paths we quickly discovered in that effort that could never serve as a future-proof technology base for a full production game. This new project is still in an early phase of production, and we feel like weGÇÖre on the right track and plan to give an update at EVE Fanfest on April 21st as a part of the free livestream of the event. Since this new game will be different from DUST 514 (although keeping many of its great parts), we will provide tiered recognition rewards to our loyal DUST customers, details to be announced.
We are very proud of what weGÇÖve learned and accomplished with DUST 514 on PlayStation 3 over the past three years and it is an honor to be a part of such a dedicated community. We consider DUST 514 one of the best free-to-play offerings on the platform, but the years have caught up with us. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that DUST 514 will be shutting down on May 30th, 2016. We therefore will not be releasing the 1.3 update as we had planned. Players will continue to be able to play for free on our servers until then, but all further PSN packs and purchases have been removed and disabled from the in-game marketplace and the PlayStation Store. Players with existing Aurum will be able to continue to purchase items from the in-game marketplace.
Thank you for being a part of DUST 514 on the PlayStation 3. We look forward to the next chapter, and hope youGÇÖll be a part of it and continue the journey with us.

well mobius, did you never look at the screen that came up before you chose what character to play, cause it said it there, 1000% certain and i'm not the only one who read it, and i can't be the only one who wonders why do ccp continue to make promises they never keep, and never explain, address nor rectify really, really, REALLY poor show for customers (which we are) especially in a highly competitive market where keeping players (CUSTOMERS) is key, also if i truly wanted to be a di*k about it, i would have a word with trading standards, as it is a clear case of misrepresentation at least if not actually far worse, eg, your supermarket says it's the cheapest for an item, you show them they are not, but they continue to say it and advertise it, they would be in SERIOUS trouble, look at VW and emissions scandal. Companies no matter where or what they do or provide simply cannot lie about products, promotions etc, period, take note CCP

Actually pretty sure what M+¦bius quoted was indeed the message that popped up before character selection. And no where does it say tiered rewards would be announced at fanfest, just that more would be discussed about the game (which it was).
And in my personal conversations with CCP Frame about this topic, it is extremely important to him that the veterans are properly recognized and it is one of his top priorities. However (at the time of this conversation) the game was still early in development so the entire scope of what the game would ultimately encompass was still up in the air. That being said talking about tiered rewards wouldn't make much sense because they still didn't know exactly what kind of rewards would make sense in the final scope of the game.
