What were some of your unique quirks?
Here are some of mine:
1. I always jumped after I killed someone. Always, without fail. I think in my very early days I got sniped right after I killed someone, and after that I viewed engaging with someone as something that made me a target to snipers. After that, I always jumped to try to throw them off. You can see it here.
2. I would always cloak when I hacked anything, even if it was the homepoint at the very beginning of the match where there was no chance the enemy could even be there.
3. I would always toggle my weapons as I sprinted. I often did it in time with the beat of the music I was listening to, but I'd still do it constantly even without music.
4. I would always fire my weapon at the beginning of the match to test the latency (by checking how long it took for the numbers to go down).
5. I would always do a little hop towards whatever I was about to hack, so that I could cloak whilst in midair without having to stop.
6. I would get out of the battle search screen without cancelling the search by pressing L1 and going onto the Character Progression tab, then pressing circle from there to be free of the menus.
7. I would always check the teams whilst waiting to deploy.

I headshoted a Rattatis that was carrying an Agimus. The agimus didn't make it any harder, just made it feel batter.
Occasionally, after I got my BPO LAV, I would spawn MCC with my dominus, call in LAV, and drive to enemy redline, jump out and kill lol
I used ScR of Amarr Heavy
I used a Quadruple (I think) Complex Armor Plate Amarr scout in PC
I called a tank that ended up in the MCC somehow

Shooting anything a few times before I hacked it. This was mainly to draw out anyone that may be very close hoping to shoot me in the back.
I even did it when I was in my hack scout that there was a 99% chance that no one was there without being on my passives.

I always came into battle, and looked at the boards to see if there was an enemy ads pilot.
Caldari assault + Laser Rifle was my go to fit.
I made a variant of EVERY class of suit (except logi) with my Caldari Assault... Only because of the bonus to reload for my magsex...
I always summon an incubus as soon as I get in game... Even if i joined mid game redlined :(
Rep'bus and boost'thon were my go to fits.
The first thing I skilled into was pythons... What a waste of isk.
I think nanaki's magsex is the best weapon in dust...
When a tank is deep in the redline... I jihad using a python :|

I always cloaked to hack as well, and if I was in my triple-myofib scout, I would also jump on top of CRUs to hack them from where nobody would think to look.
I liked to run useless **** just to see how useless it was. Did a lot of experimenting that way too. When I was still with Bojo's, we had our little "LAV circlejerk" strategy we were trying- everyone is in an LAV with a remote rep, and we would drive around repping eachother's LAVs. Was both completely ineffective and difficult to execute.
I would also run an amarr scout with a plasma cannon, and it would work pretty damn well. On a similar note, I actually preferred the amarr scout to gallente and caldari- minmatar was still better, though.

I honestly never saw anyone else drive an LAV into the Gal Lag Facility, use the turret to kill people and manage to drive it back out in one piece.
Saw a few people upside in LAV's in there... Even got ran over a few times, but they always ended up dead.
Ooh, there's also that map with the pipeline and the big tower... People would crash dropships into it to lay down uplinks.
One thing I never saw another person do was to actually tip the dropship on it's side, hop out to put an uplink and then jump back in to fly away before it either squashed you, knocked you off the tower or just fell to the floor past you. That one was 100% pure Derp. Decided to start trying it once a guy from corp carefully crashed his Myron into it and jumped out while I was already up there, I saw an opportunity to save his ship and hopped in, lol.
Aaand lastly, did anyone else ever squash a merc using a dropship, while the merc was standing on another dropships roof forgegunning... Without damaging the either dropship? That was possibly the funniest moment I had in Dust, lol. I was so amused by the situation I think I let the dropship live. |

Why, because of easy kills if you got me in your sights, or because it was a refreshing change?
The thing about having less HP than everyone else, is that you get to feel superior whether you win or lose a 1v1 situation :-D If you lose to someone with a massive amount of HP, you can go "oh, well, he had 6 times as many HP as me and I almost got him, so...". And if you win, then you're obviously beating the odds :-D |

Varied, but the most typical would be my amarr scout with two precision enhancers, a kincat, armor repper and one or two damps. And mostly ScR or TAC AR, or NK+SMG. |

I would use assault forge guns as CQC weapons.
I would suicide to pull AV no matter what suit I was using.
I would announce my intent to suicide to get into AV by standing in the open near the tank I intended to kill and shoot it with my rifle until they killed me. Then respawn forge gun and murder them. If that proved unsuccessful, several times, JLAV
I would run rifles on scouts consistently.
Calsent was the best sent (not just for AV)
I always ran standard plates on armor suits, not ferroscales or reactives (not as much of a handicap as you would think if you're used to playing sentinels 95% of the time)
I actually didn't plate up shield suits.
I would sell districts that didn't belong to me whenever I didn't have a CPM tag on my forum Avatar.

I think a lot of people did these things, though i probably didnt do the jump cloak thing nearly as much as i should.
- Only sidearm I ever used was scrambler pistol.
- I played Amarr Sentinel more than anyone else in the game.
- I liked to hit the inertia dampener a split second before hitting the ground.
- Running around with a forge gun for extended periods of time instead of just switching to it when AV is needed.
- I didn't go for KDR unless i knew we would win
- I always went for the win, suicidally if need be
- Everything I did, every skill point i spent was for winning as many matches as possible
- I would even sit there and run gallente logi scans non-stop as long as my team needed them
- Even though I played for countless hundreds of hours, even consistently for a solid year, I didn't play nearly as much as most other mercs

I always ran Kinetic Catalyzers on my Gallante Assault (Neo Speed Tanking FTW!) and ran around in the Prototype Amarr Assault with dual Complex Myrofibril Stimulants. I called it the Darth Vader suit and I would bring judgement down quickly on anyone who dared to come within my killzone.
I was also known for running Nova Knives on my Caldari Assault, and hunting down Heavies and Scouts with it. I always used cardiac regulators on my Amarr Assault and would somehow always be permanently placed behind enemy lines despite the lack of uplinks...
I was also most feared when I dual wielded prototype Assault SMG's. Bullets, bullets everywhere.
I was also known to use the Breach Scrambler Pistol and Breach SMG before they were cool.
I was also best known for insisting on using a Minmatar Assault with a Swarm Launcher even when there were no vehicles.
I was also infamous for my trigger finger and got called out constantly for using a "modded controller" with the Tactical AR and Assault Scrambler Pistol and Scrambler Rifle.

My list:
- I used a magsec, always, as my sidearm. I would use the best I could fit on the suit even if I had to use a basic or advanced rifle to fit it. I tried a few times to use the bolt pistol, and found it a very limited niche weapon that caused me to die more than helped me to kill.
- Often used two magsecs instead of a RR or ARR and magsec. If I used damage mods, they obviously worked on both magsecs.
- Only used Caldari weapons - corollary to the fact that I only ran Caldari gear in my attempt to get everything I used to level 5 as fast as possible. Caldari is the race of my EvE main, which is pretty much the reason I chose Caldari for my Dust main.
- When hacking objective in a CalScout, would CROUCH as far away from the objective as possible, cloaked. I would also always keep hacking regardless of reds firing at me, the objective, the space between, etc. Often I would finish the hack and be able to get away because reds were trying to hack the same objective, unknowing that I was hacking it myself. Once, when the red finally got to start hacking, I turned around and took him out, myself. ;)
- Outfitted a Hawk Scout with MLT gear including a MLT Sniper Rifle, so I could hunt snipers. More than once took out snipers at point blank range.
- Took out multiple snipers from just beyond a rise flanking them whenever red snipers would cluster in an obvious sniper nest (obviously noobs!), one at a time, and none of them knew the others were being killed beside them.
- Probably not something I just did, but funny: Had just decloaked and aimed my MLT SR when the target, one of two, turned around, looked at me crouching there with him in my sights, and just STOOD there looking at me until I headshotted him.
- Then I took out the other sniper.... ;) (no comms???)
- Tried to get as close as possible, even climbing into, an installation as I hacked it, cloaked.

In game i would test if i needed to reset by waiting how long it took to countdown to actually spawning in. If spawn says 3 seconds and you've waited 10, need to reset. Place a test uplink to see how long it took to register because i usually had the most lag in between sprinting, stopping pulling up EQ, to placing it.
