I was awful to start with.
Then I got better.
Then as I got better, the battles got harder and I got worse again.
I was finally starting to get better when the game died.
I really hated this game, but I love it, too. I couldn't put it down.
Until it died.

I had lots and lots of time to learn.
I had a lot of long gaps of inactivity, but in the end I would say I was good at it- probably because I always used my ISK and SP on stupid **** and had to settle for always using standard or occasionally advanced gear, instead of getting used to leaning on proto and getting sloppy.
