1.8 was when I started playing DUST. I fancy feeling a bit nostalgic. Here's some stuff I remember:
R0nin was dying out
New Age Outlaws were pretty much dead
Shotgun Scouts
D.A.R.K. LE.G.I.O.N. was up to mischief in Molden Heath
Everyone got mad when CCP announced they would introduce Militia HMGs

Since the day they announced it, I was hopin I would see a FULL MATCH where everyone, and i mean EVERYONE, would have a cloak on and no one could see each other.
Still sad I never saw that.

Reminds me of the dumbass I ran into running a cloak on a Min assault with a shotgun. Except he didn't get the memo on profile dampening, so he was invisible but for the orange chevron over his head. I sent him a mail, "I can see you." |

I remember running my cloak for the first time. Seemed like everyone in that match had cloaks too. Just blurry peripheral stuff running the hell all over the place. Yet everyone still had chevrons. Me and some other blueberry were hiding just outside of a doorway because we could see three cloaked chevrons just inside hugging the wall. Of course they were waiting for us to breach thinking we couldn't see them either. That 20-second stalemate seemed to last forever.
