I think it would be awesome if the lore somehow suggested that copies of all the old DUST Mercs want mad, crazy mad. And in the new game (Dependant on PvE) We get to fight named enemies, named after the vets in DUST.
I think it would be awesome to come across, Saxononamish, a Cat Merc or even a copy of myself, and kill them! What do you think?

Lore-wise, it's possible. It has happened before on at least two occasions. I don't think that would be a problem. You already own your name. That's on an account stored on the Tranquillity server and you will never lose that while that's the case, unless somehow you lose access to that account.
As for the clone named the same as you, a name of an NPC is just a name. It's not a character name on an account. As long as it's not a unique identifier, as are the names of real characters, that will never cause a problem. Even if it were a unique identifier that conflicted with your own character's name, they would just modify the name of the NPC to make it unique for the purpose. |

I always thought my vet was pretty good. He was calm and considerate of Dootle's stress levels during check-ups. For years I really appreciated his efforts until I realized he had dismissed a bladder tumor as just a urinary track disorder... for years. Now I'm kind of pissed with my old vet.
Poor puppy.
Re: fighting my own dark clone? Yeah. That sounds awesome. Like that Riker ep from Star Trek TNG. Except evil.
