I can't wait for No Man's Sky. It looks really interesting and fun to play, interplanetary travel has always allured my attention. Hopefully it'll be successful, I'll need something else to replace DUST for a bit until I get a better graphics card for my PC. Apparently the planets you leave are never the same when you go back to them, you can go in space and dock inside aircraft carriers.

Yeah!, Can't wait for this game either. The planets are always the same when you return, is the fact that the is 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 unique planets to explore!
The sun would burn out and die before you had a chance to visit them all even for a second!

Thanks to the upcoming release of the GTX 1070 and 1080 you will not have to wait long for that new graphics card even if you are on a small budget.

I had the same idea, and I'll be there at launch!

If you like interplanetary travel, EvE could use you. But with EvE there's no planetside, like there is with No Man's Sky, something I was hoping Dust would remedy but never did.... |

It is going to be the best most boring game ever. I'm excited but I really feel it's going to be boring gameplay wise, but I mean, universe sized universe

But EVERY time I go on EvE Online the game super laggy... my PC has Intel Graphics.. That's the nice thing about EvE. The graphics is just for presentation. Everything actually happens on the servers, and if your PC is laggy, just go into settings in the Esc menu and optimise for performance. It will tone down the graphics for you so they won't take so much processing or use up as much memory.
The graphics when you do that are pretty basic. You would probably want to play with the settings to suit yourself after you did that, but rest assured the fact that your PC is laggy has no effect on the game. :) |

yea it's GTA meets minecraft survival. minus the cities and skeletons. there is no support for trying to find another player but supposedly it's possible to run across another player, but there will be no name tag or nothing direct to indicate your seeing another player. with 1 billion x 1 billion earth scale planets the chance is pretty rare. he hasnt said how many people can come into your game, but it sounds like the number is pretty low. i wanted it mostly for just the shareplays, and minecraft survival kept me entertained for a couple months. i dont expect it to release august 9th, i'm guessing there will be way more postponings than this one. hopefully were not here for years waiting for the next Huxley.
it will be more than just exploration but it's nothing we haven't already done in other games (trade routes, wanted level, farming mats and upgrading stuff) only %10 of the planets will have life, and only 10% of that 10 will be intelligent life if i understood correctly. most of the lifeforms will be rather pointless which is kinda dissapointing they should have procedually generated some kind of stat system other than aggressive or passive.

I kinda left the news since they kept showing the same trailer about flying around doing only that.

It's an engine that has bern cleverly marketed as a game. The actual games that will arise from it will be great for sure.
