For the past several months, anyone doing anything cheap = mexican. I think thats a big reason. Just bypass saying scrub and go to some other words and phrases...

Here's the corny EVE/DUST 514 explanation:
It's because, faster than new incoming players could be made aware of, and in more ways than even we ADVANCED players had time to explore, Dust 514 was designed to defy and change-the-track of classic fps gameplaying, That included everything from "what an aim-assist engine is supposed to do in a shooting game" to even the fps player terms like "noob", "scrub", "unlock", "loadout" "respawn" and "veteran".
Those were the old-fart (...um, sorry, but I must be honset  ) terms we played with for decades. DECADES!
Eve Online successfully created a whole new environment of gameplay and gameplay terminology. It became "New Eden Terminology".
Not noobs... Newberrys.
Not loudouts....Fittings.
Not unlocking....Training.
Dust 514 had a much harder challenge, trying to change the minds of Console Players (fps hardcore was invented with US, not with the PC players....so you can imagine it's much harder to get us out of our classic fps terms).
In Dust, it was supposed to be
...not respawn....it's REGEN. (that's what clones do).
...not loudouts....it's FITTINGS (but CCP finally gave up trying to teach that to us, so they said, okay, we'll call them loadouts as usual).
But to be honest, I see that it typically took about 16 months for a new player to finally stop using "scrubs" and "noob", and graduate into the social universe of these two games.
Yes, the explanation is corny. But it's true, and I for one saluted CCP for trying to remedy some of the unkind real-player discrimination, and let it exist only as fantasy Racial discrimination that benefit us within the gameplay. Cool idea.
....Tears. So many cool, bold concepts in Dust 514. Players, this was our Camelot.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
