I learned about CCP by the PS3 so while others and many on these forums knock the PS3 , I applaud the fact that it had helped me to grow in the gaming field .
I have had consoles and games older then most of the people who post on these forums , I have experienced many experiences by me ... myself being a console only player with a few dips in PC gaming to me experiencing PC gaming through relatives who build and know the market / industries by building their own PC's while trying to think ahead of the curve and I could tell you this CCP .
Stand by your brand and your word .
WOW is loosing numbers , EVE was loosing numbers ( before the last bit of content ) and most of the mainstay's are just finding a problem maintaining their hold on the market and I can just attribute that to the change in the structure where as these teams and DEV studios .. look at the market as simply numbers and also , they allow their consumers to dictate the outcome as far as any changes to games which IMO , do more harm then good .
Yes , you need to listen to hose who support you and purchase your product but it's the product that brought them to you in the first place , it's YOUR imagination , it's YOUR creation that attracted their attention , it's you that should dictate the tempo not the other way around . I've seen it too many times to count , from shows ( name me 5 shows that lasted 5 or more years that stayed in the developers control and interest without outside interference and stayed successful , much less comic's / movies ) .. basically I'm saying that people can't tell you about New Eden because without YOU CCP , there would be no New Eden , Star Wars has been high jacked and the cannon is being rewritten not only because of selfish greed of those in control but because of the people who have not seen the first because they were not born yet .
Outside interference can and does taint the product and so many allow the fans to change what was brilliant that , that brilliance looses all substance . Many people love TWD ( The Walking Dead ) but I can't stomach it after the third season because of fan output changing the way the people that wrote the story now look at what their writing instead to throwing caution to the wind like they have before the show became popular and it's the same with most these days , Fallout ... WOW like mentioned , Star Wars and many staples that just didn't know how big they were until people told them how big they became and once that happened , they started to loose substance and this is something that I just don't want to see happen to Nova but it happened to Dust 514 before it started .
Dev's still make games for the PS3 people can talk crap about it all they like but it's true , to me the three can / could do what the four can barring the limitations in the GPU / CPU / RAM but you could get the same visual prowess of the four , it's all a money game and that's why the four is the last console that I will purchase because I see the game these console DEV's / game makers are pulling off , thinking that people have bottomless pockets where in the 80's and 90's yeah these things cost but most did as well ( cell phones , beepers , computers , DVD's and such ) but people made more money back then and had jobs to support them where now , the structure is maintained to exploit only to fail and to me it had become a joke . It was entertainment but now it's more of a luxury which places limits on those who have and have not , many that post on the forums seem to not understand this . Everyone doesn't have a PS4 OR access to a PC people , wake up and realize that and just because they don't , that doesn't make them less then anyone else it just means that they might have more on the table then you or anyone that you know . It's people in the world that don't have clothes or food , much less a PS2 or a T.V or electricity ... Wake The Frack Up People .
I would love Nova to carry on what Dust 514 has started but if CCP allows it's fans or anyone to take them away from the vision that they contrive then it's to their own failure , should Nova have vehicles .?. should it have everything that Dust 514 had and more .?. should it grow off of the foundation ( Dust 514 ) that's already set .?. to me that's a no brainer sense it's already there but to change for the sake of fandom ... to me that's the beginning of the end . CCP .... DON'T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN , you made New Eden , you mold Nova into a respectful and interesting brand . We already have Battlefield and COD , don't need another clone of those , we need a better , more dependable / reliable clone of Dust 514 if it's going to be a clone of anything .
Don't fall for the trap of fandom .
