Pretty much. The Citadel Expansion is one of the biggest updates so far for Eve Online since it's introducing a feature where you can build a station as big as a good chunk of the State of New York. Oh yeah, and these Citadels (like the Keepstar) are big enough to allow Titans to dock, able to blow up ships with its own doomsday weapon and it's completely destructible unlike traditional player-made outposts.

That's all fair enough but we should still be able to get onto the system. The problem appears to be that the system is under too much load, but have they actually made the server unavailable while they get Citadels happening? What about our daily logins and daily missions? I guess since they are not making any more money out of us, we don't rate.... |

They can't implement the update with the server running. Tranquility, the server that Eve Online operates in, is also the same server where Dust 514 operates in. Whichever patches get deployed for Eve affect us here in Dust as well in some way. There is no avoiding it especially since Dust FW and Planetary Conquest are connected to Eve.
That and Eve players tend to dog pile the server as soon as a new patch gets deployed on the first few days.

Yes, I understand all that. But are you saying that something is down? EVE-Offline says it's up.
Nobody's "dogpiling" the servers - we can't get in.... |

Ah, good. I expected not to be able to connect when the system was down for the update, but for it to be up and still not connecting.... Good that they're working on it. |

Its not that hard,
the fiber line goes into the T-Marc 340
the Ethernet line goes from the T-Marc 340 to the firewall
the firewall goes into switch
the switch goes into the server
