1. Team Deathmatch is a terrible gametype. Okay, I am probably in the minority when I say this, but the defeat of other players should be a means to an end. It shouldn't be the end all be all goal.
I know this is just a beta thing, but it bugged me the entire time while testing. Team Deathmatch simply doesn't work for this game. And on a similar note, why the focus on Kill/Death ratios? This isn't a game about skill like Quake or Unreal Tournament. It's about tact, planning and gaining an advantage.
The Skirmish or TDM modes have recently just become the only servers there. Before, there used to be Ambush (Rush in BF3 type) which is much better. Don't worry it's probably being re-instated soon enough.
2. This game has the most bizarre censor system I've ever seen. I typed in "Let's kick ass and take names." Fair right? Well, what was posted was "Let's kick kitten and take names." Oh my god! That is SO much worse! WTF CCP!
LoL yeah, and they left some worse words uncensored.
3. The vehicle controls are awful. At least ground vehicle controls are, I haven't tried the dropship yet. There's a very good reason why racing titles don't use Thumbstick UP to go forward. Please map thrust and backward to different buttons. Or at least allow us to do that.
Agreed.
4. The grenade arc is really weird and I never seem to get it right. Must be a beta thing.
This got F*ed up in the update imo
5. Blasters are a little underpowered. Not by much mind you, just a little.
Their fine now. Before the patch, they were OHK and had HUGE splash damage radiuses.
6. Speaking of balance, heavy suits are way overpowered. There's no reason why they should have 3 times the health of everyone else. Personally, what I would do to fix this is give them about 1.5 times the health (roughly) but give them extra protection from vehicle weapons.
Circle around heavies and try getting behind them. They turn really slow, so it's easy to kill them when you're near them.
7. The sooner you can implement mouse and keyboard support, the better. I find myself in a lot of situations where pinpoint accuracy is necessary and that simply isn't feasible.
Sure
That's all I have for now. I hope you found this in some way helpful. If you want me to elaborate on anything, let me know :)
