Most likely we're gonna lose all except the loyalty position...but I would really appreciate an official CCP statement regarding the matter... what fate for us? we deserve a straight answer CCP |

Our logins are all stored on PSN and then a validation token attaches us to our character on TQ. With Dust shutting down I can not imagine any good reason for Sony to continue to manage logins for CCP. Ideally, CCP will put up a page that we use PSN to login to and then create a TQ login but that leaves any player that misses the open window for those "signups" getting seriously burned.
"Hey Sony, thanks for managing our players' accounts for a few years we are just going to go ahead and have them login one last time and drag them over to PC!" Maybe if CCP asks nicely.......
Having Valkyrie on Sony gives a possibility of CCP retaining the ability for players to login through the web portal but I do not see that going over well with Sony.
Outside of using Sony as the login system players who signed up for the newsletter, and only players who signed up for the newsletter, could go through a process of validating their email to take ownership of their account. Again this leaves a large portion of players out in the cold.
If this is not something that they have a well thought out plan for already (lol) it is not going to be pretty when the time comes to login to Nova. Take the time between Dust shutting down and the possible Nova alpha to forget Dust ever existed, you will be better off that way.

It could even just be deleting each character and remaking the names to be saved for each person. All the logins are tied to e-mail addresses so it wouldn't be hard.
But, yes, I think we are losing a lot as well. ISK has zero chance. SP is incredibly unlikely to even matter. I could, potentially, see your amount of SP equaling something. Like 10% of your old SP transfers. Dunno, don't really think so. Loyalty is likely it, yeah.
Aurum and Aurum items are interesting. We could keep those. If the Aurum amounts are the same, then it isn't hard to keep 'em.

Unless Sony has changed something, which is quite possible, the email address is not shared by default. This was originally put in place so that a security lapse at a developer did not turn into a major problem for Sony if users start getting spammed or their accounts hacked because some developer slipped up and let a list of peoples usernames get linked to their actual email addresses.
Sony may have become more lax on this so I will test shortly to find out what the current state of things is. |
