My say on this if they want to do stuff different. Let them run alpha when the project is lit and build the game up with the community just like unreal tournament 4. If you are scared that people might grind the alpha out then hold testing weeks. Hold more feedback rounds. Then of course I hope a nice announcement from fanfest 2017. That blow everyone away ones again :) Like the 1 universe idea. I know you can't make it in 1 day but you can in 5/10 years to make the dream compleet. But it has to happen in steps so I really hope they consider proper community involvement also after fanfest.
The PR I am not happy how this was handled on fanfest they should have holded 1 keynote at minimum for project nova to show what direction this game is gonna go with technology stuff cool things. I know valkyrie started like this to and now has its own keynotes. But there was project legion before so they should had much more to show to by honest thats where it hits me personal. So much wasted hours. I know many assets from 514 will get reused in this game. But just saying I am fps shooter fan so I want to play a eve like fps shooter with mmo elements and I know more want to. Doing this right can make project nova even into e-sports and eve bigger.
So lets get started shall we? :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it took 3 yers sice first Valkyrie keynotes untill it was launch - that is unacceptable if we speaking about something that needs to replacing something that exists for 4 yers and is about to be closed in next month.

I think if they would start today there would be 3 months of close-alfa, then we would have close-beta with luck players that will get invitation, for something like 2 months and open-beta.
(with the optimistic assumption that everything would go smugly)

Exactly my point when I say it's totally unacceptable that they didn't at least port Dust to PS4 in the interim. |

Correct me if I am wrong - Valkyries 'LAUNCH' was wholey dependent on Occulus 'launching' - would probably have been more unacceptable to launch a game that no-one could play because the technology for doing so wasn't available for the consumers... |
