That is a good news. And if they keep them I am a bit more optimistic. Now I need my Loadouts back and want to know what they intend to do with Skilltrees.

That is a little more reassuring.
I'm still apprehensive.
But at the same time, I'm dying to help playtest this game when it gets to that point.

While just as apprehensive as Ghost, this is a bit reassuring. We know for a fact that CCP is capable of rendering the same wide open spaces (in UE4 no less) as DUST 514 at the moment, and I am confident that in showing the close quarters battle inside a ship they just wanted to showcase something new and interesting that would appeal to EVE Online players.
It also seems like they really wanted to showcase that they've rethought the gun play quite a bit, which was one of the biggest things plaguing DUST 514. That being said, I could understand why people would see a small map and tight weapon usage and be worried that it will just become another Call of Duty clone.
Knowing MMO aspects will return too, possibly with even more content, is reassuring to say the least. Thanks for the update Frame. While I would have liked to see some sort of video explanation in that regard, I'm actually willing to trust your word on this.

Are they laser focused on keeping the MMO aspects?
I'll believe it when I see it. |

Well, if CCP gets the FPS mechanics right and then works on the MMO aspects we just might get what was promised in DUST.
If we get large progressive battles on a full map that requires well thought out vehicle usage I will be fine with the removal of EO orbitals. What I don't want is cookie cutter battles where you don't know if you are the attacker or defender because in point of fact both teams are attacking an abandoned facility. |
