That Project Nova will gut or even entirely remove the vehicle aspect of this game. They just want a pretty, responsive FPS.
I really hope they've got more hiding in the wings, otherwise Fanfest has just officially become the place for DUST 514 players to get **** on.

I don't disagree with them getting shooter gameplay right. It's important... but currently it seems that's all they are going for. A single race, typical shooter arena maps on spaceships and no greater vision like trying to actually connect the game with Eve, expanding to planets, 0G gameplay, all 4 races, vehicles, open world... all what they promised with Dust and Legion seems to be out of the window.

It would be cool if players could pilot drones around the battlefield (inside the space ships) so "vehicle" users can still find something they like.

We can't even get Racial Parity IN A SEQUAL.
WTF. To this day I have only a couple thousand SP in infantry, vehicles were the only part that really stood out to me.
It's clear the AV v V balance was too difficult for them so they've decided to step back and just do a generic shooter to appease people. **** I hope I'm wrong but damn this is so disappointing, again.

It's been like that the two , going on three years that I've played this game .
I really don't know why anyone that's playing JUST Dust 514 goes to this event . |

This is my #1 concern, honestly.
I'm worried they've just axed all the depth entirely in favour of getting a simplified arena shooter.
Everything has to come to an end, sometime.

Yes, but within each role, there is only that.
Say the MinScout is the infiltrator. Then you can't be an Infiltrator with Gal, Cal, or Amarr. So for those players who like to RP, yet want to play the Infiltrator role, they are stuck in Minmatar.
I can just see the Amarr Scout text walls now...

You are making me feeld like an old man.
When I was your age, we wouldn't have called the video that was released "responsive".
FPS used to be faster. I miss fast.
Well, maybe the switch to PC will mean that we'll get much faster scouts and more vertical gameplay. That could be fun.
But yeah, I'm also scared for vehicles.
I always wanted all vehicles to become as hardcore as dropships. |
