So I searched the US trademark database, didn't find anything that would suggest a new game from CCP.
So my thoughts are that maybe CCP will keep the name Dust514 for the new game. As much as people have complained about the game, it has kept many of us playing for quite a while (the entire lifespan of the game in my case), so maybe they are thinking it should be kept.

I think they will go with a new name to distance themselves from the people who have played DUST and view it as a failure.
I really did think that EVE: Legion was a cool name, and it's too bad that they gave up the trademark.
I think it will have the 'EVE:' part attached to it. |

Eve: Legion was an OK name for me. But given what Dust went through and since it will become figurative dust, I think a more appropriate name would be in order. Something like Eve: Phoenix which can make it feel more relatible.

It won't be Dusr514 because they want to divorce themselves of the bad blood surrounding it. It won't be Phoenix because it's too closely associated with DUST after the #PortDust514 campaign

To me, it will always be NotLegion.
Of course, I think it being called "EVE: Please-Trust-Us-Again" wouldn't be too far off :-P
EVE: Mercenary is a possibility but it is such a damn generic name. Phoenix wouldn't surprise me. However, I doubt "that little sh*t Pokey" had anything to do with the name.
Einherjar would make great sense, plays wonderfully with Valkyrie. However, from a marketing perspective this is super unlikely. Valkyrie is easy to say for English speakers, even if the pronunciation is not correct (Thhhh-OR versus Ta-OR). Einherjar is a tad harder for English speakers to bastardize and be comfortable with.
Ragnarok is a possibility if they want it to be a more fast paced type "jump in and shoot people game!" rather than the slow burn of EVE. Of course, I sincerely hope this is the case to begin with because the EVE-style slow burn and FPS doesn't mix that well IMO.
Berserk/berserker.
In my opinion, Einherjar is the best name because that is pretty much what we are. However, it puts the name a bit too close to home for CCP. Then again, how many people are going to plat a New Eden FPS that are not already familiar/interested in EVE?

Can I have that with more cliche please? I really dislike Phoenix, especially because it has nothing to do with the story, but would be a meta title.

There will be no name for it, that requires it to pass the planning stage.

Maybe we're thinking along the wrong lines. The FPS could be branded simply as another expansion from eve. Like; EvE: Citadels, it could just be names EvE: 514.

In keeping with their present naming system, it should be called something associated with what the planetary soldiers actually do. Vakyrie fits the idea of flying warriors, Gunjack fits a turret gunner.
DUST 514 was too lore tangled and confusing, too enigmatic.
Something with a planetary colonization ring to it or earthy, ground name would do.
Valkyrie is a Norse thing. Anything ground related in Norse mythology that hasn't been used in EVE yet?
You've got a ship named Hel, short for Helheim, the underworld. Valkyries chose those from the dead to go there or to Valhalla.
I like the idea of planetary combat being right down in the heat of it, the nitty gritty.
How about:
EVE:CRUCIBLE
Yeah, so what if it is ripped from the EVE patch. They named the patch that after the last time they got caught with their pants down. Lol.
