I'll be quite happy if they do.
What I'm remembering is that new Global Brand Manager from after FanFest 2014 who babbled on and on in an interview about community involvement being the highest priority for Project Legion. We all know how that translates into reality.

That was something they definitely copied from Rattati.
I will say that this partly due to Trello not being at its current state when Dust was launched.
You actually brought a ray of sunshine there showing that CCP can in fact learn something across the board from other projects. Rattati's level of openness set a bar for every game developer across the board with Trello and his use of the forums. |

Yes, I put quite a few cards on the Dust 514 Trello, so I am more than aware that Rattati did it first.
However, many of us are also aware of how Hilmar flits back and forth between hands-off and micromanaging when it comes to CCP's projects. My fear is he might involve himself in this one in a detrimental fashion and we end up with another Project Legion where we here nothing about it for almost 2 years and pretty much lose all communication with CCP.
CCP Rattati doesn't run CCP Shanghai, Rouge does. I guess you could say this is directed more at him.

That's what worries me. We've had two of those silent periods already. The end result of the second one was at least far better than the first, but the studio has kind of developed a pattern of this.

I was pointing more to them copying it as showing some state of learning but I can see where that definitely did not come across right.
Hilmar..... I will just leave it at I agree with you there completely because last time I talked about Hilmar I landed myself a permaban.
Yes Rouge runs the studio but not individual projects that I know of and it has been hinted at that Rattati will be in charge of the new game. Maybe we will at least find that out for sure at fanfest if nothing else but a trailer. |

Not to shame Shangai's Team, but I do hope the DUST PC version comes with the same energy and outlook as Valkyrie. Our launch day was rather.... Yeah. It felt like a beta the last time I played which was like 2-3 years after release. >.>

IMO this is the biggest issue.
I suspect this, or something similar, is the reason that we never got 1.3.
I don't care for Hilmar's management style, and I think many of CCPs problems are a reflection of it.
