Present:

Assault Rail Rifle - After the Caldari Assault got a bonus to recoil, this weapon became pretty good. It's better than the standard Rail Rifle for hipfire and spray n' prey, and it still has a very good range. I used to use the SCR, but after the nerf the ARR became better.

Alternative Present:

Assault Combat Rifle - The Combat Rifle is the only weapon in the game that I have Proficiency 5 in. I run the Combat Rifle on my Minja and my Assault MK.0, but I don't really use Min Assaults often now. The Combat Rifle is great because I think it's the most ordinary weapon in the game - that is, it is most like anything we'd find on Earth. No strange mechanics like charge-up or overheat; it's just press the trigger and fire bullets. Decent damage profile too, absolutely shreds armour, and the difference is really quite noticeable when you get past the Shields. Good range and excellent hipfire. I prefer the Assault Combat Rifle in general I think due to the more 'flowing' damage application, whereas there is a slight pause between regular CR shots, which can mean death in tight situations. The Assault Combat Rifle is also better under lag. That being said, I prefer the regular Combat Rifle on wide-open maps with no lag, where I can take advantage of the extra range.

Would have liked to learn:

Remote Explosives - If there's one thing in this game that I absolutely suck at, it's spamming RE's. It would have been nice to be able to sprint through a nest of reds and make the whole place erupt behind me as I sprint out, like in some action film, but alas, it was not to be. Sad

What does it do right for you and how does it float your MCC? Past - The weapon you first stuck with the most and learned the game mechanics. Present - Your current GÇ£go toGÇ¥ weapon to mass murder all the red-berries. Would have loved to learn - The weapon you always wished you could use but it never worked out for you. IGÇÖm just interested in knowing what weapons people have, are and would have liked to use over the course of their clones lifespan. Mine are:: Past - Mass Driver: Before all racial dropsuits and jumping high was a thing in the closed beta I loved to use the Mass Driver as it was rarely ever used by anyone and (maybe IGÇÖm imagining this) rag-doll effects were more extreme! Bodies used to fly all over the shop and it always brought a smile to my face; I also loved giving out Minmatar GÇ£FreedomGÇ¥ to the masses. Present - Assault Combat Rifle: When Uprising 1.7 was released CCP gave us new toys to play with and originally I leaned towards the Rail Rifle with its awesome looking design, long range and massive damage output. I then took a year's break after "The Rouge Wedding" at fanfest 2014 and from my break I had a ton of unallocated SP to spend; where I skilled into Minmatar Commando and finally tried out the Assault Combat Rifle, which in combination along with close range absolutely wrecks people into melted butter....... from there onwards I fell in love! Would have loved to learn - Shotguns: I always liked the idea of being a sneaky, fast, unscannable bugger to catch only to round a corner and one shot someone in the face; with its awesome pump and reloading animations but unfortunately IGÇÖm just not that kind of player. For me scouts are too paper thin and overall does not suit my play style of close to medium range and helping the team out with logistics.
