Hello there. I'm recreating this topic so i can keep editing the first post in case any new suggestion is to be added. If any GM feels like destroying the old one :)
I think the title of the topic explains mostly everything about my suggestion but i'll try to go into details.
Duplicate\Copy Fit Function DONE. Thanks CCP
"Personnal \ Corp" fit Function Suggested by Jaiden Longshot
This function is well known of EVE players. It allows you to save a fit and make it public to your corporation. This way, a tactical leader can create the Fits he wants his troops to be using. This would make battle preparation waaaaay easier.
Of course, you can still create private fits by registering them as "Personnal."
Fit Folders Suggested by Jenza Aranda in another topic
As we're all gonna have tons of different fits over time, It would be good thing to have the possibility to create folders in wich we could put our fittings. It would help a lot in battle as you would move between 4 or 5 categories instead of scrolling down all your fits list.
Rearrange fit Suggested by Bob Deorum in this topic
Obvious function to have : A way to "move" our fit in the list so we can choose in wich order they'll appear. This function would be compatible with the folder option as well. => Rearranging fits inside folders. Rearranging Folders themselves.
Fit cost Display and Auto-rebuy option Suggested by Kevales in this topic
Seems pretty self-explanatory : Show somewhere on fit screen the price of the fit without having to use restock. and add an auto-rebuy option that would avoid going to the fit screen when in a game.
Like if you want those functions. |

As already posted in the thread made by Brock, I would suggest the ability to prioritize the fittings, with the option of having the same priority. Regarding your post it would be neat if the people with the proper privileges could do that with the Corp fittings before each match, that way they could prioritize what is needed in the battle, making it easier for the members to see what they should bring.
Like the other ideas too.
Maybe an overview to see how many of each fit is currently on the battlefield too, and the option for the Corp member who set up the Corp fittings to specify how many he hopes to be in the battle of each type of Corp Fitting.
Over and out! |

Oh dear. That's a lot of complex ideas ^^ I don't even think EVE as that much fitting options lol.
Prioritize your own fit is a bit like being able to rearrange them, right ? |

Yes they will be rearranged by priority, but you have the option of "categorizing fittings" by having for instance some fittings at 100, 101, 102, and the next category at 1000, 1001, 1002. That way it is easy to put another fit in with your "category." But basically it is rearranging.
And yeah EvE doesn't have those fitting options either, I think it would be a nightmare in big fleets to have to predetermine what you want of what and so forth, but remember those fleets would be much bigger than a corp battle in Dust, therefore I think it would be a nice addition to Dust to have it.
I really like the idea of being able to see what fittings are needed in the battle before deploying/spawning, it would help to keep the communication channels more clean.
Maybe you could even be able to see the count from the people already waiting to spawn in the overall statistics too, should be possible as they have already chosen their drop suit.
This coupled with the folder idea, would be really neat.
I mean would love too for instance pick the Logi folder for corp, see that we need one fitting with "Healer", two with "Support" (Ammo and whatnot), see that two with "Support" has already been taken, one is actually deployed and another is actually waiting to spawn, I wouldn't see that, I would just see a 2/2 next to Support. So I would roll with the "Healer" fitting, or something completely different that wouldn't benefit my Commander as much, but maybe I didn't have the modules and ISK for the "healer" fitting.
It would be immensely helpful to quickly see what is currently needed because someone didn't roll with what they were supposed to or they ran out or whatever. |

Other ideas for fitting improvements:
Cost Per Refit - displayed somewhere on the fitting screen, possibly also viewable on the suit selection screen, to evaluate how much each death is costing you.
Reordering suits, Suit grouping - The suit list is going to get very cluttered, very fast.
Auto-rebuy - This option will repurchase one of your suits/vehicles as soon as you try to use it and it is invalid. This has a confirmation window that informs you of the cost per suit of the option, and you get a (non intrusive) notification about the cost deduction and your current balance each time the cost is deducted. |

What you suggest would indeed be very usefull in corp battles to organize troops and make sure every role is present on the battlefield. But it's too complex for this thread where it's about suggesting some simple improvements regarding UI and organization. |

With you 100% on this one. We need this for corps. Would also like the ability to 'evemail' a fitting to any other player. |

i have a couple of ideas
first have a separate colour for aurum items, like the militia have a blue border it would be nice to have these with a green or purple border so you know when you are spending RL money when restocking
second, the option to restock your suits (just the suit) i dont think this is an option at the moment, as i have multiple fits that use the same suit i dont want to have to restock the whole fitting every time just to get some suits, this is why i liked the old option better, when you select restock it set it to 20 not add 20 of everything |

agreed regarding the old restock system. It was way better but i think it would deserve a dedicated topic. |

Old restocking is coming back thankfully: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=389522#post389522 "[REQUEST] Bringing back restocking options from E3 build Update: The dev team will work on fixing this in future updates."
I still would love tabs or folders, but what I would like the most is an auto re-buy. I always put prices in my fitting names, but for it to automatically show price would save me a lot of time.
+1 for this thread. |

Laurent Cazaderon wrote: Duplicate\Copy Fit FunctionI think that, like me, every time people want to try new weapons or see the effect of a specific module, they create a new fit that is usually pretty close to the fits they were using before. And, at the moment, you have to create a brand new fit and select every module. A "copy" function that would create an exact copy of the selected fit would be a quick way to create a variant of an existing fit. It's a function that i think is not too hard to implement but could be very usefull. It's good to see this one made it in...
Maybe time for an update, since we have a "duplicate fitting" option now? |

The suit is at the Top Center of the Key (between the Hi & Lo slots)... so it can be restocked along with the individual items as you see fit.
The issue I am having is that I have to scroll thru the whole list in search of the weapons I am looking for; you have forge guns next to mass drivers, mixed with laser rifles and shot guns..... Why are they not grouped up, meaning all the assault rifles are in one group and then the rest, etc.
At the same time, IF I am working on a scout, logi, assault.... the forge guns and HMG's should not even appear when looking at the weapons available to equip....that is what the assests area is for or the create a Heavy suit. Same thing with the modules for the hi & lo slots.
On top of that, I would like a another TAB that shows how much a stat is influenced by the skills I have purchased with SP, namely what the damage is (weaponry skill level + profiecency) maybe show us the range of the weapon, so that a player can know if sharpshooter skill is working--- can I hit them or should I creep closer and then try.
Maybe give us a compare items option, so we can just see the attributes and how they differ from one another in one big spread sheet, instead of forcing me to make one of my own. |
