I feel like the rock grabber bearing witness to the Nothing. A part of me has died inside, seeing pieces of our world fade from existence.
slightly unrelated: apparently the entire movie is on YT there, for those feeling nostalgic.

Hm.... Weird. Loading the URL with my phone, work, or home laptop loads the IIS Windows Server landing page. If I drop the www, it loads normally. I just assumed the home page was down to discourage any new players from downloading or stumbling upon it by accident.
Maybe I'm just clueless wouldn't be the first time ;)

This is just a really poor setup on CCPs part because www has to be directed as a subdomain on any server setup.
In Apache that is a failure in the VirtualHost file setup but I am not sure what IIS uses for that implementation.
EDIT:
Wow CCP sucks at webhost setups. For eveonline.com they redirect to www.eveonline.com but do not force https in any scenario which now days will cause an unsafe warning in some browsers. Literally 5 minutes worth of work totally overlooked and very possibly losing them a small amount of customers. |

^Thanks for the clarification.
I just noticed it Saturday or Sunday at home. When I saw it again here at work, I thought it might be intentional. Oh well. Learn something new every day, or so they say.....

Most people would be fooled by that and even tho I am so use to it that has gotten me a couple of times. Given the state of Dust you were definitely not wrong to just think it was gone instead of broken.
What scares me is that they do not even have their Eve domain setup properly either. These are absolutely basic practices of setting up a webhost and whoever did theirs should have their dedication questioned to some extent because this kind of basic setup getting screwed up can only come from laziness or a total lack of motivation to check your work. |

That's heavy bro! You nailed it.
This is all part of the New Eden experience. Pain is part of the life we immortals must live. Some will have to give up their kingdoms. Some have already given them up to fight with the burn and char.
It's been real, blueberries. It's been ****ing real.
