Being part of the New Eden universe and in spirit of a persistant universe, I am wondering if our named officer weapons that at this point we are all so familiar with will make it into the new dust game on PC?
That being said will we even still have the same weaponry? I love DUST`s variety of weapons and hope that the new game EXPANDS on the weapon list. (Those missing Factional varients of Heavy weapons for instance)
EDIT for clarity - I mean the weapons themselves not our assets being transfered. |

I hope they carry over. Those guys worked so hard for those rights to name a weapon. Totally no boosting happened. Why wouldn't they transfer over to a game that's not Dust? Why would you want new events in a Brand new game to name an officer grade weapon ? What alot of work.

Its like I shouldn't call the PlayStation I bought mine because Sony makes and named it... I didn't realize thinga in my inventory could not be considered mine.

I would vote that the player named weapons carry their names over to an equal weapon.
As for all of the generically named ones they might as well just have another contest to name the new stuff. |

they should carry over the playernamed gears and all other named/officer gear to the next game.

This is one thing I agree should be taken over... Heck if they change the weapons, just slap the names on something similar... It doesn't hurt anyone or break any balance, plus there are other weapons they can do this for in the next game... I would like to slap my name on a small blaster turret. |

I highly doubt it. But if they do, I wonder how they will go about incorporating it as part of the 'salvage gameplay' that we were originally suppose to get in Dust.

At this point I am just waiting to hear from CCP and their "Tiered recognition awards"
I have stockpiles of crap salvage that CCP said would be useful. Should I sell it now or will CCP pull a surprise out of the bag regarding our assets and what they might be of use for......
I think keeping player named officer weapons is a good thing. They are a part of history now in terms of the game history. |
