Downloading Defiance, Uncharted 3 FTP MP, and a few others.
All free. Any good? Close to dust? Defiance doesn't look that bad...... Just doesn't look like dust :(

Till then idk either, but others have said Angels fall first is good but requires a pc for those who dont have one.
I havent tried it yet but will give it a chance when dust is shutdown

If any of you have PS4, there is currently an Uncharted 4 MP stress test going on, worth checking out. Project Reality and Insurgency look pretty solid on PC for tactile shooters.
You're better off exploring other great games than trying to look for alternative. But maybe try Battlefield, Destiny, or even Last of Us multi-player.

Bf4 has been an almost relaxing.
I like not having to worry about resupplying suits.
My dust gunner is my gunner on bf4 and we are ripping it up in tanks and lav's even at low levels.

I have a BF4 Clan, DIVISION 13. i have to reastablish my paswords and info, but i stopped playing Battlefield afte i found DUST514,
DUST is the best,
Try the DCUniverse stuf, skill trees and upgrading your caracter, it's fun
There is a Market also, didn't check it out yet!

We have a group of 8 guys trying to find a common game on PS3.
We've all tried the current FTP roster, but picked bf4 during the Valentine sale.
Gta v was also mentioned.

I haven't played any game besides Battlefield: Bad Company 2 that is anything like Dust.

The new StarWars Battlefront is the only thing I have found even remotely close to dust so far. Its not a great replacement, but it "feels" close. Even my pops saw me playing it the other day and said "wow, reminds me of dust a bit."
Also, TC's The Division releases on ps4 in what 2 days? Not even close to dust honestly, but I had a blast in beta. Its definitely going to be my new MMOFPS. Its really what I was hoping dust would be originally. Top-notch game IMO.

Honestly, to be honest, and in all honesty, World of Tanks is the best free to play game on PC, period.
Although... you will have to buy more garage slots for tanks with gold but those are just minor expenses which you can purchase even with a phone call or SMS, real simple. My recommendation is to wait until the garage slots are on sale at 50% off, then buy a bunch of them.

Best Dust substitute I've discovered so far is : Angels Fall First.
On steam. Still early access so cheap. Has grown battles, space battles, commander mode, etc.
Were playing in the Steam group "Survivors of Dust". Join the group, and check out out game. You can even 'watch' a group members play It if you like before you decide to buy.
Steam will also refund you if you don't like the game (2 hour max playtime)
