Continuing their ambition to get an EVE TV show up. Syfy has a lot of bright TV shows now and the quality has picked up where they no longer are a joke like they used to be. If they release an on-going TV series with EVE: Valkyrie, the FPS, and that other game, they're bound to revitilize their fanbase and bring in new interest from outsiders.

Hopefully CCP T0rfifrans succeeds in getting that put together. If I recall correctly, the director they were talking to had previous series on HBO. They might be going for the "big leagues".

I believe they're getting help from Scott Free productions which is Ridley Scott's own personal company, although this doesn't necessarily mean he's working on it.
