It's pretty good right now we finally got a chat window, you dont have to worry about the gun which can be modded that you like getting nerfed, most of the infantry accepts vehicles, they actually coordinate together, most of the time, and they merged the server to one. but it does lack major things from dust- ragdoll effect and messaging/chat system is ghetto still right now. the main thing tho is that a dust 514 vet has very little trouble adapting to planetside because that vet is used to playing in a cage and is used to a fast past moment to moment encounters and dust 514 match is basically a microcosm of a planetside 2 base assault. i'm not likeing how easy it is to accidently touch the swipe pad which brings up the map or the chat window. i might have to modify my controller in some way after this got added. PS2 TTK and movement rate takes a couple days to adjust to it's about half of what it is in dust, along the lines of Bad Company 2. everything hits like a truck including the trucks. at first play the movement feels somewhat sluggish compared to dust merc. once you adjust tho it's possible to get like an average of 10 kills a spawn if you know your limits and role well. i started with an infantry life expectancy of about 2 mintues that slowly rose to about an average of 15, not from better gear but just from map knowledge and random teamwork. my galaxy dropship can last a couple hours with the right crew. i guess i dropped the delicate controller too many times so my fire button goes off randomly now, awaiting for this job to come threw to buy a new one. a life (or lack of) in fallout 4 also deteriorated my PVP game, but they have their version of academy mode to ease back into it. but for now, i introduce to you one of the most addicting alphas i've ever played for 2 days straight. it's like FTL but not complete but the survival wave game is so addictive because of the random loot/salvage system., you can also loot new crew members/survivors which the plan was they have stats and can level up, you unlock new chassis and systems that are stored in your hanger where you build new ships. sometimes a survivor gets placed in your clone bank so you can add him to your future crews. trying to get the right loot or crew member is exciting, as you play survival you are still hoping to modify your ship during the voyage to make that round of survival easier as often your ship upon undocking is incomplete and dependent on the right salvage. there's on board fires like FTL but unlike FTL you can mod your ship way more but it has no adventure mode yet, the kickstarted i guess has stalled but the demo we make your work day pass like nothing. Great teamwork right there, PS2 friendlies make me miss blueberries. It looks like synchronized dying to me so i don't stick around.
