We all have our old favorite games that we can go back to for that feeling of nostalgia. Any game I've played that has been online still has play-ability after the servers shut down. You usually have that single player campaign or something you can load up for old-times sake, or you can log on just to check out all the old stuff you collected over the game.
I dedicated a LOT of time off and on to this game. It pains me to think that I'll never be able to log on and see my character, stats, and equipment again. It feels worse than having your memory card get deleted, cuz at least in that case you have the option to go back and do it again.
All this stuff I've collected... It kills me to have to just junk it all in a final bang... |

I know that feeling, however, such is the nature of Online-only CONSOLE games. I hope to see you in the next iteration.

dust feels different because of all the friends i've made here. what other game are you waiting for 15 minutes for a match (fw) just because you dont want to kick the 5th guy?

lol indeed. there was much more comradery than any other battle shooters. it's actually a genius game, it just didn't have hardware abilities to be what it was meant to be. bugs, glitches, subpar graphics, and most of all I think the lack of gameplay variety and maps are what did it in (lack of game modes and small number of maps). the leveling system and chat systems and rpg elements were superb. |
