Judge got that ridiculous K/D he has because he never flew without at least 2-3 tanks on the ground slaying any infantry who tried to shoot him down. That's why he always ran with Pyrex and his group.

I'm not saying that's not the best way to role, or that it isn't true, or that the implied insult isn't accurate. But i will say they when he was active an ads didn't need any support at all to be effective and could slay 70-80 clones np saving a pub while on even the worst team. All you needed for pc except against the very best teams were 2-3 good ads pilots and scrubs that listened. Those would be more accurate facts that can be used to insult.

In some cases you have the capacity to do MORE if you're not on the CPM. I know it would have been a tough sell to do everything I got to do for #portdust514 had I been under NDA, so in that regard I'm glad I wasn't. Either way being on the CPM doesn't really matter to me much anymore. You don't need a title to do a lot of good work, and having that title doesn't mean you'll necessarily do a good job. One time for *** and giggles I set up my Python with 3 Shield Hardeners before they nerfed them and just sat over the Gallente Communications socket while half their team spammed Swarms at me. And every expert knows you spit during, and swallow after. That said, Judge is easily one of the best players to have graced this game. Not necessarily through in game skill, he definitely wasn't a top pilot (good certainly) but his understanding of the game was easily leaps above most other players. Sadly he chose to be a pilot, something CPM and CCP never really understood. Farewell DUST

Ego's and tempers being thrown left and right, preachers, trolls and ragers. Good 'ole Eve/Dust community... as warm, friendly and cuddly as an iron maiden. Judge used to chat with me about the state of the game and we'd have good conversations about game mechanics.. Judge being an astute analyst and me being a game mechanics programmer within the industry too. Out of all the criticism of the game i've seen over the years, Judge's was the closest to hitting the nail on the head than anyone else. When judge ran for CPM, we told him that we wished he'd been part of it earlier when it could have made a difference (possibly), but by the time he joined the game was pretty much done for in terms of advancement anyway. We've all been flogging a dead horse named Dust for years. Promise after promise from CCP and rarely delivered on any. CCP.. Candied Carrot Preachers, they have always been great at delusions of grandeur. While they may have once been a great company, it's pretty obvious the talent left a long time ago. They still haven't woken up to the fact they need to catch up with the times and catch up with the industry. Sure, they can make things look pretty, but can they really produce good functionality.. pff. What they produce is lies and fluff. Why did judge leave? I don't know for sure, but i'd certainly bet he realised that his analysis wasn't appreciated or respected by the dev's when it should have been. He most likely saw just how badly coordinated the dev teams were and figured it was pointless investing so much effort any more. Will the new PC product be any different? .. lol, we'll see... It'll depend if CCP finally wake up to themselves and step down from the pedastal they believe themselves to be on, and join reality and the rest of the games industry again. Did i want Dust to work? .. Yeah, do i hope their next product will work? .. yeah.. Do i think they can actually live up to their promises... no, not without major changes in how they run their company. If the position actually could have brought about meaningful change, he would have stayed. He never shyed away from a debate, but he wasn't the type to sit there smashing his face against a wall for no reason. He saw the writing on the wall, and got out, and I for one praise him for that. Also, hearsay says him leaving was largely influenced by RL factors. Nothing good has come of CPM. It's a publicity position for CCP to make the case that they're involving us in their process. Yet, what exactly has it gotten us? The game is being closed and was never fixed, and the decision to carry on to PC was clearly made without CPM in mind, considering they were kept in the dark for so long. Here's hoping CPM some day becomes a worthwhile force for the game, but up until now it's been little more than an untrained, unpaid focus group that had no real reason existing in the first place as anything but a PR boost. I can understand his frustration at the lack of progress because I felt it too. I wrote my share of posts explaining issues and requesting action with no response. I stopped playing right befor the Rouge wedding because I saw nothing was going to change. That was before he really got going with his video critiques. I don't blame him for tossing in the towel. I'm cautiously optimistic about the next go around on the PC with new management, but I'm prepared for dissapointment. CCP is going to have to give vehicles unique roles seperate from infantry if they are to have any hope of balance. The PC platform will give them the opportunity, but they will have to take it.
