Mine is already missing its hard drive and sitting in the closet. I used the SSD out of it to add a cache to my local server.
I will let it rot away in there for a little while before tossing it.
Target practice does sound like some fun tho. |

Whenever I can get a second SSD I'll put my 500gb HDD into the PS3 and then randomly collect more PS3 RPGs that I'll probably never play but enjoy having the option to play

I still have all those AAA games from PS+ I haven't played (due to Dust), so my PS3 goes nowhere...
I will however swap my Hybrid SATA drive from the PS3 to the PS4 the day after Dust dies. |

Shooting at it would probably be more fun but I live in an Australian city and there would be massive legality issues.

I'll be keeping mine. my OG backwards-compatible PS3 was killed by Dust eventually. I bought a 2nd gen slim and moved my SSD into it just to keep playing Dust. The day I found out they were cancelling this thing, I bought a PS4 to tide me over. used PS3 games will get cheaper and cheaper and there have been good online sales as well. There are tons of cheap indie games you can download for a pittance and if you have plus there are free games. It also acts as an excellent DLNA solution, able to put a huge variety of content onto your screen, along with a built-in DAC so you can output high-resolulution stereo audio through analog cables to a stereo preamp.
