Are still really pathetic when compared to missiles. You need absolute PERFECT aim and a bit of luck when using them vs infantry compared to missiles that can hit people hiding behind boxes if you hit the wall next to them or hit the ground next to a moving infantry. The explosion radius of missiles makes them far and away better then other turrets, and the hybrids don't seem to kill other armor any faster then missile fitted ones either.
I'm going to go ahead and assume the hybrid installations are still just as bad. In the previous build you could be in a small blaster turret and still not be able to kill someone running straight at you before he got close enough to strafe the turret and just kill you. |

I can get alot of kills with both blasters and rails, and in fact I never use missiles because they are to weak. So it could be just your aiming? maybe your controller sensitivity?
but rails are a anti tank weapon anyway so they should have a problem with infantry in the first place even tho with the 5m explosion radius they are really easy to get kills with them now. |

I had no problem with killing infantry with heavy rails either - even with militia ones. Maybe You should aim for the basic railgun who had a 5m blast radius and 500 damage - militia has only 180.
And i don't have perfect aim - i borrowed PS3 only for dust, and it my first FPS ever on gamepad. |

Rail-guns take so long to reload, I'd expect them to at least damage units that are just missed by the blast. What I mean by this, is that the damage area is about the size of a quarter, but if it had a region around the damage, say about the size of a Frisbee that units inside recieved 1/4 damage from it'd be more worth the long charge time that it has compared to other guns. You'd have to make sure the damage doesn't stack (so the AOE could be 1/4 total damage, and the core could be 3/4 total damage for a total of 1 if directly hit)
If this was implemented as a mechanic, the bullet, rail, and missile turrets would all have different attack attributes. |
